Joshua 18.
18:1 The whole assembly of the Israelites gathered at Shiloh and set up the Tent of Meeting there. The country was brought under their control,
18:2 but there were still seven Israelite tribes who had not yet received their inheritance.
18:3 So Joshua said to the Israelites: "How long will you wait before you begin to take possession of the land that the LORD, the God of your fathers, has given you?
18:4 Appoint three men from each tribe. I will send them out to make a survey of the land and to write a description of it, according to the inheritance of each. Then they will return to me.
18:5 You are to divide the land into seven parts. Judah is to remain in its territory on the south and the house of Joseph in its territory on the north.
18:6 After you have written descriptions of the seven parts of the land, bring them here to me and I will cast lots for you in the presence of the LORD our God.
18:7 The Levites, however, do not get a portion among you, because the priestly service of the LORD is their inheritance. And Gad, Reuben and the half-tribe of Manasseh have already received their inheritance on the east side of the Jordan. Moses the servant of the LORD gave it to them."
18:8 As the men started on their way to map out the land, Joshua instructed them, "Go and make a survey of the land and write a description of it. Then return to me, and I will cast lots for you here at Shiloh in the presence of the LORD."
18:9 So the men left and went through the land. They wrote its description on a scroll, town by town, in seven parts, and returned to Joshua in the camp at Shiloh.
18:10 Joshua then cast lots for them in Shiloh in the presence of the LORD, and there he distributed the land to the Israelites according to their tribal divisions.
18:11 The lot came up for the tribe of Benjamin, clan by clan. Their allotted territory lay between the tribes of Judah and Joseph:
18:12 On the north side their boundary began at the Jordan, passed the northern slope of Jericho and headed west into the hill country, coming out at the desert of Beth Aven.
18:13 From there it crossed to the south slope of Luz (that is, Bethel) and went down to Ataroth Addar on the hill south of Lower Beth Horon.
18:14 From the hill facing Beth Horon on the south the boundary turned south along the western side and came out at Kiriath Baal (that is, Kiriath Jearim), a town of the people of Judah. This was the western side.
18:15 The southern side began at the outskirts of Kiriath Jearim on the west, and the boundary came out at the spring of the waters of Nephtoah.
18:16 The boundary went down to the foot of the hill facing the Valley of Ben Hinnom, north of the Valley of Rephaim. It continued down the Hinnom Valley along the southern slope of the Jebusite city and so to En Rogel.
18:17 It then curved north, went to En Shemesh, continued to Geliloth, which faces the Pass of Adummim, and ran down to the Stone of Bohan son of Reuben.
18:18 It continued to the northern slope of Beth Arabah and on down into the Arabah.
18:19 It then went to the northern slope of Beth Hoglah and came out at the northern bay of the Salt Sea, at the mouth of the Jordan in the south. This was the southern boundary.
18:20 The Jordan formed the boundary on the eastern side. These were the boundaries that marked out the inheritance of the clans of Benjamin on all sides.
18:21 The tribe of Benjamin, clan by clan, had the following cities: Jericho, Beth Hoglah, Emek Keziz,
18:22 Beth Arabah, Zemaraim, Bethel,
18:23 Avvim, Parah, Ophrah,
18:24 Kephar Ammoni, Ophni and Geba--twelve towns and their villages.
18:25 Gibeon, Ramah, Beeroth,
18:26 Mizpah, Kephirah, Mozah,
18:27 Rekem, Irpeel, Taralah,
18:28 Zelah, Haeleph, the Jebusite city (that is, Jerusalem), Gibeah and Kiriath--fourteen towns and their villages. This was the inheritance of Benjamin for its clans.
Joshua 19.
19:1 The second lot came out for the tribe of Simeon, clan by clan. Their inheritance lay within the territory of Judah.
19:2 It included: Beersheba (or Sheba), Moladah,
19:3 Hazar Shual, Balah, Ezem,
19:4 Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah,
19:5 Ziklag, Beth Marcaboth, Hazar Susah,
19:6 Beth Lebaoth and Sharuhen--thirteen towns and their villages;
19:7 Ain, Rimmon, Ether and Ashan--four towns and their villages--
19:8 and all the villages around these towns as far as Baalath Beer (Ramah in the Negev). This was the inheritance of the tribe of the Simeonites, clan by clan.
19:9 The inheritance of the Simeonites was taken from the share of Judah, because Judah's portion was more than they needed. So the Simeonites received their inheritance within the territory of Judah.
19:10 The third lot came up for Zebulun, clan by clan: The boundary of their inheritance went as far as Sarid.
19:11 Going west it ran to Maralah, touched Dabbesheth, and extended to the ravine near Jokneam.
19:12 It turned east from Sarid toward the sunrise to the territory of Kisloth Tabor and went on to Daberath and up to Japhia.
19:13 Then it continued eastward to Gath Hepher and Eth Kazin; it came out at Rimmon and turned toward Neah.
19:14 There the boundary went around on the north to Hannathon and ended at the Valley of Iphtah El.
19:15 Included were Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah and Bethlehem. There were twelve towns and their villages.
19:16 These towns and their villages were the inheritance of Zebulun, clan by clan.
19:17 The fourth lot came out for Issachar, clan by clan.
19:18 Their territory included: Jezreel, Kesulloth, Shunem,
19:19 Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath,
19:20 Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez,
19:21 Remeth, En Gannim, En Haddah and Beth Pazzez.
19:22 The boundary touched Tabor, Shahazumah and Beth Shemesh, and ended at the Jordan. There were sixteen towns and their villages.
19:23 These towns and their villages were the inheritance of the tribe of Issachar, clan by clan.
19:24 The fifth lot came out for the tribe of Asher, clan by clan.
19:25 Their territory included: Helkath, Hali, Beten, Acshaph,
19:26 Allammelech, Amad and Mishal. On the west the boundary touched Carmel and Shihor Libnath.
19:27 It then turned east toward Beth Dagon, touched Zebulun and the Valley of Iphtah El, and went north to Beth Emek and Neiel, passing Cabul on the left.
19:28 It went to Abdon, Rehob, Hammon and Kanah, as far as Greater Sidon.
19:29 The boundary then turned back toward Ramah and went to the fortified city of Tyre, turned toward Hosah and came out at the sea in the region of Aczib,
19:30 Ummah, Aphek and Rehob. There were twenty-two towns and their villages.
19:31 These towns and their villages were the inheritance of the tribe of Asher, clan by clan.
19:32 The sixth lot came out for Naphtali, clan by clan:
19:33 Their boundary went from Heleph and the large tree in Zaanannim, passing Adami Nekeb and Jabneel to Lakkum and ending at the Jordan.
19:34 The boundary ran west through Aznoth Tabor and came out at Hukkok. It touched Zebulun on the south, Asher on the west and the Jordan on the east.
19:35 The fortified cities were Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Kinnereth,
19:36 Adamah, Ramah, Hazor,
19:37 Kedesh, Edrei, En Hazor,
19:38 Iron, Migdal El, Horem, Beth Anath and Beth Shemesh. There were nineteen towns and their villages.
19:39 These towns and their villages were the inheritance of the tribe of Naphtali, clan by clan.
19:40 The seventh lot came out for the tribe of Dan, clan by clan.
19:41 The territory of their inheritance included: Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir Shemesh,
19:42 Shaalabbin, Aijalon, Ithlah,
19:43 Elon, Timnah, Ekron,
19:44 Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath,
19:45 Jehud, Bene Berak, Gath Rimmon,
19:46 Me Jarkon and Rakkon, with the area facing Joppa.
19:47 (But the Danites had difficulty taking possession of their territory, so they went up and attacked Leshem, took it, put it to the sword and occupied it. They settled in Leshem and named it Dan after their forefather.)
19:48 These towns and their villages were the inheritance of the tribe of Dan, clan by clan.
19:49 When they had finished dividing the land into its allotted portions, the Israelites gave Joshua son of Nun an inheritance among them,
19:50 as the LORD had commanded. They gave him the town he asked for--Timnath Serah in the hill country of Ephraim. And he built up the town and settled there.
19:51 These are the territories that Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun and the heads of the tribal clans of Israel assigned by lot at Shiloh in the presence of the LORD at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. And so they finished dividing the land.
Psalms 149.
149:1 Praise the LORD. Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of the saints.
149:2 Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the people of Zion be glad in their King.
149:3 Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with tambourine and harp.
149:4 For the LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with salvation.
149:5 Let the saints rejoice in this honor and sing for joy on their beds.
149:6 May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands,
149:7 to inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples,
149:8 to bind their kings with fetters, their nobles with shackles of iron,
149:9 to carry out the sentence written against them. This is the glory of all his saints. Praise the LORD.
Psalms 150.
150:1 Praise the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens.
150:2 Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness.
150:3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre,
150:4 praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute,
150:5 praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals.
Jeremiah 9.
9:1 Oh, that my head were a spring of water and my eyes a fountain of tears! I would weep day and night for the slain of my people.
9:2 Oh, that I had in the desert a lodging place for travelers, so that I might leave my people and go away from them; for they are all adulterers, a crowd of unfaithful people.
9:3 "They make ready their tongue like a bow, to shoot lies; it is not by truth that they triumph in the land. They go from one sin to another; they do not acknowledge me," declares the LORD.
9:4 "Beware of your friends; do not trust your brothers. For every brother is a deceiver, and every friend a slanderer.
9:5 Friend deceives friend, and no one speaks the truth. They have taught their tongues to lie; they weary themselves with sinning.
9:6 You live in the midst of deception; in their deceit they refuse to ackjowledge me," declares the LORD.
9:7 Therefore this is what the LORD Almighty says: "See, I will refine and test them, for what else can I do because of the sin of my people?
9:8 Their tongue is a deadly arrow; it speaks with deceit. With his mouth each speaks cordially to his neighbor, but in his heart he sets a trap for him.
9:9 Should I not punish them for this?" declares the LORD. "Should I not avenge myself on such a nation as this?"
9:10 I will weep and wail for the mountains and take up a lament concerning the desert pastures. They are desolate and untraveled, and the lowing of cattle is not heard. The birds of the air have fled and the animals are gone.
9:11 "I will make Jerusalem a heap of ruins, a haunt of jackals; and I will lay waste the towns of Judah so no one can live there."
9:12 What man is wise enough to understand this? Who has been instructed by the LORD and can explain it? Why has the land been ruined and laid waste like a desert that no one can cross?
9:13 The LORD said, "It is because they have forsaken my law, which I set before them; they have not obeyed me or followed my law.
9:14 Instead, they have followed the stubbornness of their hearts; they have followed the Baals, as their fathers taught them."
9:15 Therefore, this is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: "See, I will make this people eat bitter food and drink poisoned water.
9:16 I will scatter them among nations that neither they nor their fathers have known, and I will pursue them with the sword until I have destroyed them."
9:17 This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Consider now! Call for the wailing women to come; send for the most skillful of them.
9:18 Let thei come quickly and wail over us till our eyes overflow with tears and water streams from our eyelids.
9:19 The sound of wailing is heard from Zion: 'How ruined we are! How great is our shame! We must leave our land because our houses are in ruins.'"
9:20 Now, O women, hear the word of the LORD; open your ears to the words of his mouth. Teach your daughters how to wail; teach one another a lament.
9:21 Death has climbed in through our windows and has entered our fortresses; it has cut off the children from the streets and the young men from the public squares.
9:22 Say, "This is what the LORD declares: "'The dead bodies of men will lie like refuse on the open field, like cut grain behind the reaper, with no one to gather them.'"
9:23 This is what the LORD says: "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches,
9:24 but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the LORD.
9:25 "The days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will punish all who are circumcised only in the flesh--
9:26 Egypt, Judah, Edom, Ammon, Moab and all who live in the desert in distant places. For all these nations are really uncircumcised, and even the whole house of Israel is uncircumcised in heart."
Matthew 23.
23:1 Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples:
23:2 "The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat.
23:3 So you must obey them and do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.
23:4 They tie up heavy loads and put them on men's shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.
23:5 "Everything they do is done for men to see: They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long;
23:6 they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues;
23:7 they love to be greeted in the marketplaces and to have men call them 'Rabbi.'
23:8 "But you are not to be called 'Rabbi,' for you have only one Master and you are all brothers.
23:9 And do not call anyone on earth 'father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven.
23:10 Nor are you to be called 'teacher,' for you have one Teacher, the Christ.
23:11 The greatest among you will be your servant.
23:12 For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.
23:13 "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men's faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.
23:14
23:15 "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are.
23:16 "Woe to you, blind guides! You say, 'If anyone swears by the temple, it means nothing; but if anyone swears by the gold of the temple, he is bound by his oath.'
23:17 You blind fools! Which is greater: the gold, or the temple that makes the gold sacred?
23:18 You also say, 'If anyone swears by the altar, it means nothing; but if anyone swears by the gift on it, he is bound by his oath.'
23:19 You blind men! Which is greater: the gift, or the altar that makes the gift sacred?
23:20 Therefore, he who swears by the altar swears by it and by everything on it.
23:21 And he who swears by the temple swears by it and by the one who dwells in it.
23:22 And he who swears by heaven swears by God's throne and by the one who sits on it.
23:23 "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices--mint, dill and cummin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law--justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.
23:24 You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel.
23:25 "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.
23:26 Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean.
23:27 "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men's bones and everything unclean.
23:28 In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.
23:29 "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the graves of the righteous.
23:30 And you say, 'If we had lived in the days of our forefathers, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.'
23:31 So you testify against yourselves that you are the descendants of those who murdered the prophets.
23:32 Fill up, then, the measure of the sin of your forefathers!
23:33 "You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?
23:34 Therefore I am sending you prophets and wise men and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town.
23:35 And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.
23:36 I tell you the truth, all this will come upon this generation.
23:37 "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing.
23:38 Look, your house is left to you desolate.
23:39 For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.'"
마23:39 내가 너희에게 이르노니 이제부터 너희는 찬송하리로다 주의 이름으로 오시는 이여 할 때까지 나를 보지 못하리라 하시니라
