사무엘상 3 장.

삼상3:1 아이 사무엘이 엘리 앞에서 여호와를 섬길 때에는 여호와의 말씀이 희귀하여 이상이 흔히 보이지 않았더라

삼상3:2 엘리의 눈이 점점 어두워 가서 잘 보지 못하는 그 때에 그가 자기 처소에 누웠고

삼상3:3 하나님의 등불은 아직 꺼지지 아니하였으며 사무엘은 하나님의 궤 있는 여호와의 전 안에 누웠더니

삼상3:4 여호와께서 사무엘을 부르시는지라 그가 대답하되 내가 여기 있나이다 하고

삼상3:5 엘리에게로 달려가서 이르되 당신이 나를 부르셨기로 내가 여기 있나이다 하니 그가 이르되 나는 부르지 아니하였으니 다시 누우라 하는지라 그가 가서 누웠더니

삼상3:6 여호와께서 다시 사무엘을 부르시는지라 사무엘이 일어나 엘리에게로 가서 이르되 당신이 나를 부르셨기로 내가 여기 있나이다 하니 그가 대답하되 내 아들아 내가 부르지 아니하였으니 다시 누우라 하니라

삼상3:7 사무엘이 아직 여호와를 알지 못하고 여호와의 말씀도 아직 그에게 나타나지 아니한 때라

삼상3:8 여호와께서 세 번째 사무엘을 부르시는지라 그가 일어나 엘리에게로 가서 이르되 당신이 나를 부르셨기로 내가 여기 있나이다 하니 엘리가 여호와께서 이 아이를 부르신 줄을 깨닫고

삼상3:9 엘리가 사무엘에게 이르되 가서 누웠다가 그가 너를 부르시거든 네가 말하기를 여호와여 말씀하옵소서 주의 종이 듣겠나이다 하라 하니 이에 사무엘이 가서 자기 처소에 누우니라

삼상3:10 여호와께서 임하여 서서 전과 같이 사무엘아 사무엘아 부르시는지라 사무엘이 이르되 말씀하옵소서 주의 종이 듣겠나이다 하니

삼상3:11 여호와께서 사무엘에게 이르시되 보라 내가 이스라엘 중에 한 일을 행하리니 그것을 듣는 자마다 두 귀가 울리리라

삼상3:12 내가 엘리의 집에 대하여 말한 것을 처음부터 끝까지 그 날에 그에게 다 이루리라

삼상3:13 내가 그의 집을 영원토록 심판하겠다고 그에게 말한 것은 그가 아는 죄악 때문이니 이는 그가 자기의 아들들이 저주를 자청하되 금하지 아니하였음이니라

삼상3:14 그러므로 내가 엘리의 집에 대하여 맹세하기를 엘리 집의 죄악은 제물로나 예물로나 영원히 속죄함을 받지 못하리라 하였노라 하셨더라

삼상3:15 사무엘이 아침까지 누웠다가 여호와의 집의 문을 열었으나 그 이상을 엘리에게 알게 하기를 두려워하더니

삼상3:16 엘리가 사무엘을 불러 이르되 내 아들 사무엘아 하니 그가 대답하되 내가 여기 있나이다 하니 그가

삼상3:17 이르되 네게 무엇을 말씀하셨느냐 청하노니 내게 숨기지 말라 네게 말씀하신 모든 것을 하나라도 숨기면 하나님이 네게 벌을 내리시고 또 내리시기를 원하노라 하는지라

삼상3:18 사무엘이 그것을 그에게 자세히 말하고 조금도 숨기지 아니하니 그가 이르되 이는 여호와이시니 선하신 대로 하실 것이니라 하니라

삼상3:19 사무엘이 자라매 여호와께서 그와 함께 계셔서 그의 말이 하나도 땅에 떨어지지 않게 하시니

삼상3:20 단에서부터 브엘세바까지의 온 이스라엘이 사무엘은 여호와의 선지자로 세우심을 입은 줄을 알았더라

삼상3:21 여호와께서 실로에서 다시 나타나시되 여호와께서 실로에서 여호와의 말씀으로 사무엘에게 자기를 나타내시니라

로 마 서 3 장.

롬3:1 그런즉 유대인의 나음이 무엇이며 할례의 유익이 무엇이냐

롬3:2 범사에 많으니 우선은 그들이 하나님의 말씀을 맡았음이니라

롬3:3 어떤 자들이 믿지 아니하였으면 어찌하리요 그 믿지 아니함이 하나님의 미쁘심을 폐하겠느냐

롬3:4 그럴 수 없느니라 사람은 다 거짓되되 오직 하나님은 참되시다 할지어다 기록된 바 주께서 주의 말씀에 의롭다 함을 얻으시고 판단 받으실 때에 이기려 하심이라 함과 같으니라

롬3:5 그러나 우리 불의가 하나님의 의를 드러나게 하면 무슨 말 하리요 [내가 사람의 말하는 대로 말하노니] 진노를 내리시는 하나님이 불의하시냐

롬3:6 결코 그렇지 아니하니라 만일 그러하면 하나님께서 어찌 세상을 심판하시리요

롬3:7 그러나 나의 거짓말로 하나님의 참되심이 더 풍성하여 그의 영광이 되었다면 어찌 내가 죄인처럼 심판을 받으리요

롬3:8 또는 그러면 선을 이루기 위하여 악을 행하자 하지 않겠느냐 어떤 이들이 이렇게 비방하여 우리가 이런 말을 한다고 하니 그들은 정죄 받는 것이 마땅하니라

롬3:9 그러면 어떠하냐 우리는 나으냐 결코 아니라 유대인이나 헬라인이나 다 죄 아래에 있다고 우리가 이미 선언하였느니라

롬3:10 기록된 바 의인은 없나니 하나도 없으며

롬3:11 깨닫는 자도 없고 하나님을 찾는 자도 없고

롬3:12 다 치우쳐 함께 무익하게 되고 선을 행하는 자는 없나니 하나도 없도다

롬3:13 그들의 목구멍은 열린 무덤이요 그 혀로는 속임을 일삼으며 그 입술에는 독사의 독이 있고

롬3:14 그 입에는 저주와 악독이 가득하고

롬3:15 그 발은 피 흘리는데 빠른지라

롬3:16 파멸과 고생이 그 길에 있어

롬3:17 평강의 길을 알지 못하였고

롬3:18 그들의 눈 앞에 하나님을 두려워함이 없느니라

롬3:19 우리가 알거니와 무릇 율법이 말하는 바는 율법 아래에 있는 자들에게 말하는 것이니 이는 모든 입을 막고 온 세상으로 하나님의 심판 아래에 있게 하려 함이라

롬3:20 그러므로 율법의 행위로 그의 앞에 의롭다 하심을 얻을 육체가 없나니 율법으로는 죄를 깨달음이니라

롬3:21 이제는 율법 외에 하나님의 한 의가 나타났으니 율법과 선지자들에게 증거를 받은 것이라

롬3:22 곧 예수 그리스도를 믿음으로 말미암아 모든 믿는 자에게 미치는 하나님의 의니 차별이 없느니라

롬3:23 모든 사람이 죄를 범하였으매 하나님의 영광에 이르지 못하더니

롬3:24 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 속량으로 말미암아 하나님의 은혜로 값없이 의롭다 하심을 얻은 자 되었느니라

롬3:25 이 예수를 하나님이 그의 피로써 믿음으로 말미암아 화목제물로 세우셨으니 이는 하나님께서 길이 참으시는 중에 전에 지은 죄를 간과하심으로 자기의 의로우심을 나타내려 하심이니

롬3:26 곧 이 때에 자기의 의로우심을 나타내사 자기도 의로우시며 또한 예수를 믿는 자를 의롭다 하려 하심이라

롬3:27 그런즉 자랑할 데가 어디냐 있을 수가 없느니라 무슨 법으로냐 행위로냐 아니라 오직 믿음의 법으로니라

롬3:28 그러므로 사람이 의롭다 하심을 얻는 것은 율법의 행위에 있지 않고 믿음으로 되는 줄 우리가 인정하노라

롬3:29 하나님은 다만 유대인의 하나님이시냐 또한 이방인의 하나님은 아니시냐 진실로 이방인의 하나님도 되시느니라

롬3:30 할례자도 믿음으로 말미암아 또한 무할례자도 믿음으로 말미암아 의롭다 하실 하나님은 한 분이시니라

롬3:31 그런즉 우리가 믿음으로 말미암아 율법을 파기하느냐 그럴 수 없느니라 도리어 율법을 굳게 세우느니라

예레미야 42 장.

렘42:1 이에 모든 군대의 지휘관과 가레아의 아들 요하난과 호사야의 아들 여사냐와 백성의 낮은 자로부터 높은 자까지 다 나아와

렘42:2 선지자 예레미야에게 이르되 당신은 우리의 탄원을 듣고 이 남아 있는 모든 자를 위하여 당신의 하나님 여호와께 기도해 주소서 당신이 보는 바와 같이 우리는 많은 사람 중에서 남은 적은 무리이니

렘42:3 당신의 하나님 여호와께서 우리가 마땅히 갈 길과 할 일을 보이시기를 원하나이다

렘42:4 선지자 예레미야가 그들에게 이르되 내가 너희 말을 들었은즉 너희 말대로 너희 하나님 여호와께 기도하고 무릇 여호와께서 너희에게 응답하시는 것을 숨김이 없이 너희에게 말하리라

렘42:5 그들이 예레미야에게 이르되 우리가 당신의 하나님 여호와께서 당신을 보내사 우리에게 이르시는 모든 말씀대로 행하리이다 여호와께서는 우리 가운데에 진실하고 성실한 증인이 되시옵소서

렘42:6 우리가 당신을 우리 하나님 여호와께 보냄은 그의 목소리가 우리에게 좋든지 좋지 않든지를 막론하고 순종하려 함이라 우리가 우리 하나님 여호와의 목소리를 순종하면 우리에게 복이 있으리이다 하더라

렘42:7 십일 후에 여호와의 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하니

렘42:8 그가 가레아의 아들 요하난과 그와 함께 있는 모든 군 지휘관과 백성의 낮은 자로부터 높은 자까지 다 부르고

렘42:9 그들에게 이르되 너희가 나를 보내어 너희의 간구를 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께 드리게 하지 아니하였느냐 그가 이렇게 이르니라

렘42:10 너희가 이 땅에 눌러 앉아 산다면 내가 너희를 세우고 헐지 아니하며 너희를 심고 뽑지 아니하리니 이는 내가 너희에게 내린 재난에 대하여 뜻을 돌이킴이라

렘42:11 여호와의 말씀이니라 너희는 너희가 두려워하는 바벨론의 왕을 겁내지 말라 내가 너희와 함께 있어 너희를 구원하며 그의 손에서 너희를 건지리니 두려워하지 말라

렘42:12 내가 너희를 불쌍히 여기리니 그도 너희를 불쌍히 여겨 너희를 너희 본향으로 돌려보내리라 하셨느니라

렘42:13 그러나 만일 너희가 너희 하나님 여호와의 말씀을 복종하지 아니하고 말하기를 우리는 이 땅에 살지 아니하리라 하며

렘42:14 또 너희가 말하기를 아니라 우리는 전쟁도 보이지 아니하며 나팔 소리도 들리지 아니하며 양식의 궁핍도 당하지 아니하는 애굽 땅으로 들어가 살리라 하는도다

렘42:15 그러므로 너희 유가의 남은 자여 이제 여호와의 말씀을 들으라 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님께서 이와 같이 말씀하시되 너희가 만일 애굽에 들어가서 거기에 살기로 고집하면

렘42:16 너희가 두려워하는 칼이 애굽 땅으로 따라가서 너희에게 미칠 것이요 너희가 두려워하는 기근이 애굽으로 급히 따라가서 너희에게 임하리니 너희가 거기에서 죽을 것이라

렘42:17 무릇 애굽으로 들어가서 거기에 머물러 살기로 고집하는 모든 사람은 이와 같이 되리니 곧 칼과 기근과 전염병에 죽을 것인즉 내가 그들에게 내리는 재난을 벗어나서 남을 자 없으리라

렘42:18 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님께서 이와 같이 말씀하시되 나의 노여움과 분을 예루살렘 주민에게 부은 것 같이 너희가 애굽에 이를 때에 나의 분을 너희에게 부으리니 너희가 가증함과 놀램과 저주와 치욕거리가 될 것이라 너희가 다시는 이 땅을 보지 못하리라 하시도다

렘42:19 유다의 남은 자들아 여호와께서 너희를 두고 하신 말씀에 너희는 애굽으로 가지 말라 하셨고 나도 오늘 너희에게 경고한 것을 너희는 분명히 알라

렘42:20 너희가 나를 너희 하나님 여호와께 보내며 이르기를 우리를 위하여 우리 하나님 여호와께 기도하고 우리 하나님 여호와께서 말씀하신 대로 우리에게 전하라 우리가 그대로 행하리라 하여 너희 마음을 속였느니라

렘42:21 내가 오늘 너희에게 전하였어도 너희가 너희 하나님 여호와의 목소리를 도무지 순종하지 아니 하였은즉

렘42:22 너희가 가서 머물려고 하는 곳에서 칼과 기근과 전염병에 죽을 줄 분명히 알지니라

시편 17 장.

시17:1 여호와여 의의 호소를 들으소서 나의 울부짖음에 주의하소서 거짓되지 아니한 입술에서 나오는 나의 기도에 귀를 기울이소서

시17:2 주께서 나를 판단하시며 주의 눈으로 공평함을 살피소서

시17:3 주께서 내 마음을 시험하시고 밤에 내게 오시어서 나를 감찰하셨으나 흠을 찾지 못하셨사오니 내가 결심하고 입으로 범죄하지 아니하리이다

시17:4 사람의 행사로 논하면 나는 주의 입술의 말씀을 따라 스스로 삼가서 포악한 자의 길을 가지 아니하였사오며

시17:5 나의 걸음이 주의 길을 굳게 지키고 실족하지 아니하였나이다

시17:6 하나님이여 내게 응답하시겠으므로 내가 불렀사오니 내게 귀를 기울여 내 말을 들으소서

시17:7 주께 피하는 자들을 그 일어나 치는 자들에게서 오른손으로 구원하시는 주여 주의 기이한 사랑을 나타내소서

시17:8 나를 눈동자 같이 지키시고 주의 날개 그늘 아래에 감추사

시17:9 내 앞에서 나를 압제하는 악인들과 나의 목숨을 노리는 원수들에게서 벗어나게 하소서

시17:10 그들의 마음은 기름에 잠겼으리니 내 원수들에게서 벗어나게 하소서

시17:11 이제 우리가 걸어가는 것을 그들이 에워싸서 노려보고 땅에 넘어뜨리려 하나이다

시17:12 그는 그 움킨 것을 찢으려 하는 사자 같으며 은밀한 곳에 엎드린 젊은 사자 같으니이다

시17:13 여호와여 일어나 그를 대항하여 넘어뜨리시고 주의 칼로 악인에게서 나의 영혼을 구원하소서

시17:14 여호와여 이 세상에 살아 있는 동안 그들의 분깃을 받은 사람들에게서 주의 손으로 나를 구하소서 그들은 주의 재물로 배를 채우고 자녀로 만족하고 그들의 남은 산업을 그들의 어린 아이들에게 물려주는 자니이다

시17:15 나는 의로운 중에 주의 얼굴을 뵈오리니 깰 때에 주의 형상으로 만족하리이다

1 Samuel 3.

3:1 The boy Samuel ministered before the LORD under Eli. In those days the word of the LORD was rare; there were not many visions.

3:2 One night Eli, whose eyes were becoming so weak that he could barely see, was lying down in his usual place.

3:3 The lamp of God had not yet gone out, and Samuel was lying down in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was.

3:4 Then the LORD called Samuel. Samuel answered, "Here I am."

3:5 And he ran to Eli and said, "Here I am; you called me." But Eli said, "I did not call; go back and lie down." So he went and lay down.

3:6 Again the LORD called, "Samuel!" And Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, "Here I am; you called me." "My son," Eli said, "I did not call; go back and lie down."

3:7 Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD: The word of the LORD had not yet been revealed to him.

3:8 The LORD called Samuel a third time, and Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, "Here I am; you called me." Then Eli realized that the LORD was calling the boy.

3:9 So Eli told Samuel, "Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say, 'Speak, LORD, for your servant is listening.'" So Samuel went and lay down in his place.

3:10 The LORD came and stood there, calling as at the other times, "Samuel! Samuel!" Then Samuel said, "Speak, for your servant is listening."

3:11 And the LORD said to Samuel: "See, I am about to do something in Israel that will make the ears of everyone who hears of it tingle.

3:12 At that time I will carry out against Eli everything I spoke against his family--from beginning to end.

3:13 For I told him that I would judge his family forever because of the sin he knew about; his sons made themselves contemptible, and he failed to restrain them.

3:14 Therefore, I swore to the house of Eli, 'The guilt of Eli's house will never be atoned for by sacrifice or offering.'"

3:15 Samuel lay down until morning and then opened the doors of the house of the LORD. He was afraid to tell Eli the vision,

3:16 but Eli called him and said, "Samuel, my son." Samuel answered, "Here I am."

3:17 "What was it he said to you?" Eli asked. "Do not hide it from me. May God deal with you, be it ever so severely, if you hide from me anything he told you."

3:18 So Samuel told him everything, hiding nothing from him. Then Eli said, "He is the LORD; let him do what is good in his eyes."

3:19 The LORD was with Samuel as he grew up, and he let none of his words fall to the ground.

3:20 And all Israel from Dan to Beersheba recognized that Samuel was attested as a prophet of the LORD.

3:21 The LORD continued to appear at Shiloh, and there he revealed himself to Samuel through his word.

Romans 3.

3:1 What advantage, then, is there in being a Jew, or what value is there in circumcision?

3:2 Much in every way! First of all, they have been entrusted with the very words of God.

3:3 What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God's faithfulness?

3:4 Not at all! Let God be true, and every man a liar. As it is written: "So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge."

3:5 But if our unrighteousness brings out God's righteousness more clearly, what shall we say? That God is unjust in bringing his wrath on us? (I am using a human argument.)

3:6 Certainly not! If that were so, how could God judge the world?

3:7 Someone might argue, "If my falsehood enhances God's truthfulness and so increases his glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?"

3:8 Why not say--as we are being slanderously reported as saying and as some claim that we say--"Let us do evil that good may result"? Their condemnation is deserved.

3:9 What shall we conclude then? Are we any better? Not at all! We have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under sin.

3:10 As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one;

3:11 there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God.

3:12 All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one."

3:13 "Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit." "The poison of vipers is on their lips."

3:14 "Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness."

3:15 "Their feet are swift to shed blood;

3:16 ruin and misery mark their ways,

3:17 and the way of peace they do not know."

3:18 "There is no fear of God before their eyes."

3:19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God.

3:20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.

3:21 But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify.

3:22 This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference,

3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

3:24 and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

3:25 God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished--

3:26 he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.

3:27 Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of observing the law? No, but on that of faith.

3:28 For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law.

3:29 Is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too,

3:30 since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith.

3:31 Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.

Jeremiah 42.

42:1 Then all the army officers, including Johanan son of Kareah and Jezaniah son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least to the greatest approached

42:2 Jeremiah the prophet and said to him, "Please hear our petition and pray to the LORD your God for this entire remnant. For as you now see, though we were once many, now only a few are left.

42:3 Pray that the LORD your God will tell us where we should go and what we should do."

42:4 "I have heard you," replied Jeremiah the prophet. "I will certainly pray to the LORD your God as you have requested; I will tell you everything the LORD says and will keep nothing back from you."

42:5 Then they said to Jeremiah, "May the LORD be a true and faithful witness against us if we do not act in accordance with everything the LORD your God sends you to tell us.

42:6 Whether it is favorable or unfavorable, we will obey the LORD our God, to whom we are sending you, so that it will go well with us, for we will obey the LORD our God."

42:7 Ten days later the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah.

42:8 So he called together Johanan son of Kareah and all the army officers who were with him and all the people from the least to the greatest.

42:9 He said to them, "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, to whom you sent me to present your petition, says:

42:10 'If you stay in this land, I will build you up and not tear you down; I will plant you and not uproot you, for I am grieved over the disaster I have inflicted on you.

42:11 Do not be afraid of the king of Babylon, whom you now fear. Do not be afraid of him, declares the LORD, for I am with you and will save you and deliver you from his hands.

42:12 I will show you compassion so that he will have compassion on you and restore you to your land.'

42:13 "However, if you say, 'We will not stay in this land,' and so disobey the LORD your God,

42:14 and if you say, 'No, we will go and live in Egypt, where we will not see war or hear the trumpet or be hungry for bread,'

42:15 then hear the word of the LORD, O remnant of Judah. This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: 'If you are determined to go to Egypt and you do go to settle there,

42:16 then the sword you fear will overtake you there, and the famine you dread will follow you into Egypt, and there you will die.

42:17 Indeed, all who are determined to go to Egypt to settle there will die by the sword, famine and plague; not one of them will survive or escape the disaster I will bring on them.'

42:18 This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: 'As my anger and wrath have been poured out on those who lived in Jerusalem, so will my wrath be poured out on you when you go to Egypt. You will be an object of cursing and horror, of condemnation and reproach; you will never see this place again.'

42:19 "O remnant of Judah, the LORD has told you, 'Do not go to Egypt.' Be sure of this: I warn you today

42:20 that you made a fatal mistake when you sent me to the LORD your God and said, 'Pray to the LORD our God for us; tell us everything he says and we will do it.'

42:21 I have told you today, but you still have not obeyed the LORD your God in all he sent me to tell you.

42:22 So now, be sure of this: You will die by the sword, famine and plague in the place where you want to go to settle."

Psalms 17.

17:1 Hear, O LORD, my righteous plea; listen to my cry. Give ear to my prayer--it does not rise from deceitful lips.

17:2 May my vindication come from you; may your eyes see what is right.

17:3 Though you probe my heart and examine me at night, though you test me, you will find nothing; I have resolved that my mouth will not sin.

17:4 As for the deeds of men--by the word of your lips I have kept myself from the ways of the violent.

17:5 My steps have held to your paths; my feet have not slipped.

17:6 I call on you, O God, for you will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer.

17:7 Show the wonder of your great love, you who save by your right hand those who take refuge in you from their foes.

17:8 Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings

17:9 from the wicked who assail me, from my mortal enemies who surround me.

17:10 They close up their callous hearts, and their mouths speak with arrogance.

17:11 They have tracked me down, they now surround me, with eyes alert, to throw me to the ground.

17:12 They are like a lion hungry for prey, like a great lion crouching in cover.

17:13 Rise up, O LORD, confront them, bring them down; rescue me from the wicked by your sword.

17:14 O LORD, by your hand save me from such men, from men of this world whose reward is in this life. You still the hunger of those you cherish; their sons have plenty, and they store up wealth for their children.
