열왕기상 15 장.

왕상15:1 느밧의 아들 여로보암 왕 열여덟째 해에 아비얌이 유다 왕이 되고

왕상15:2 예루살렘에서 삼 년 동안 다스리니라 그의 어머니의 이름은 마아가요 아비살롬의 딸이더라

왕상15:3 아비얌이 그의 아버지가 이미 행한 모든 죄를 행하고 그의 마음이 그의 조상 다윗의 마음과 같지 아니하여 그의 하나님 여호와 앞에 온전하지 못하였으나

왕상15:4 그의 하나님 여호와께서 다윗을 위하여 예루살렘에서 그에게 등불을 주시되 그의 아들을 세워 뒤를 잇게 하사 예루살렘을 견고하게 하셨으니

왕상15:5 이는 다윗이 헷 사람 우리아의 일 외에는 평생에 여호와 보시기에 정직하게 행하고 자기에게 명령하신 모든 일을 어기지 아니하였음이라

왕상15:6 르호보암과 여로보암 사이에 사는 날 동안 전쟁이 있었더니

왕상15:7 아비얌과 여로보암 사이에도 전쟁이 있으니라 아비얌의 남은 사적과 그 행한 모든 일은 유다 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐

왕상15:8 아비얌이 그의 조상들과 함께 자니 다윗 성에 장사되고 그 아들 아사가 대신하여 왕이 되니라

왕상15:9 이스라엘의 여로보암 왕 제이십년에 아사가 유다 왕이 되어

왕상15:10 예루살렘에서 사십일 년 동안 다스리니라 그의 어머니의 이름은 마아가라 아비살롬의 딸이더라

왕상15:11 아사가 그의 조상 다윗 같이 여호와 보시기에 정직하게 행하여

왕상15:12 남색하는 자를 그 땅에서 쫓아내고 그의 조상들이 지은 모든 우상을 없애고

왕상15:13 또 그의 어머니 마아가가 혐오스러운 아세라 상을 만들었으므로 태후의 위를 폐하고 그 우상을 찍어 기드론 시냇가에서 불살랐으나

왕상15:14 다만 산당은 없애지 아니하니라 그러나 아사의 마음이 일평생 여호와 앞에 온전하였으며

왕상15:15 그가 그의 아버지가 성별한 것과 자기가 성별한 것을 여호와의 성전에 받들어 드렸으니 곧 은과 금과 그릇들이더라

왕상15:16 아사와 이스라엘의 왕 바아사 사이에 일생 동안 전쟁이 있으니라

왕상15:17 이스라엘의 왕 바아사가 유다를 치러 올라와서 라마를 건축하여 사람을 유다 왕 아사와 왕래하지 못하게 하려 한지라

왕상15:18 아사가 여호와의 성전 곳간과 왕궁 곳간에 남은 은금을 모두 가져다가 그 신하의 손에 넘겨 다메섹에 거주하고 있는 아람의 왕 헤시온의 손자 다브림몬의 아들 벤하닷에게 보내며 이르되

왕상15:19 나와 당신 사이에 약조가 있고 내 아버지와 당신의 아버지 사이에도 있었느니라 내가 당신에게 은금 예물을 보냈으니 와서 이스라엘의 왕 바아사와 세운 약조를 깨뜨려서 그가 나를 떠나게 하라 하매

왕상15:20 벤하닷이 아사 왕의 말을 듣고 그의 군대 지휘관들을 보내 이스라엘 성읍들을 치되 이욘과 단과 아벨벧마아가와 긴네렛 온 땅과 납달리 온 땅을 쳤더니

왕상15:21 바아사가 듣고 라마를 건축하는 일을 중단하고 디르사에 거주하니라

왕상15:22 이에 아사 왕이 온 유다에 명령을 내려 한 사람도 모면하지 못하게 하여 바아사가 라마를 건축하던 돌과 재목을 가져오게 하고 그것으로 베냐민의 게바와 미스바를 건축하였더라

왕상15:23 아사의 남은 사적과 모든 권세와 그가 행한 모든 일과 성읍을 건축한 일이 유다 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐 그러나 그는 늘그막에 발에 병이 들었더라

왕상15:24 아사가 그의 조상들과 함께 자매 그의 조상들과 함께 그의 조상 다윗의 성읍에 장사되고 그의 아들 여호사밧이 대신하여 왕이 되니라

왕상15:25 유다의 아사 왕 둘째 해에 여로보암의 아들 나답이 이스라엘 왕이 되어 이 년 동안 이스라엘을 다스리니라

왕상15:26 그가 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하되 그의 아버지의 길로 행하며 그가 이스라엘에게 범하게 한 그 죄 중에 행한지라

왕상15:27 이에 잇사갈 족속 아히야의 아들 바아사가 그를 모반하여 블레셋 사람에게 속한 깁브돈에서 그를 죽였으니 이는 나답과 온 이스라엘이 깁브돈을 에워싸고 있었음이더라

왕상15:28 유다의 아사 왕 셋째 해에 바아사가 나답을 죽이고 대신하여 왕이 되고

왕상15:29 왕이 될 때에 여로보암의 온 집을 쳐서 생명 있는 자를 한 사람도 남기지 아니하고 다 멸하였는데 여호와께서 그의 종 실로 사람 아히야를 통하여 하신 말씀과 같이 되었으니

왕상15:30 이는 여로보암이 범죄하고 또 이스라엘에게 범하게 한 죄로 말미암음이며 또 그가 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와를 노엽게 한 일 때문이었더라

왕상15:31 나답의 남은 사적과 행한 모든 일은 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐

왕상15:32 아사와 이스라엘의 바아사 왕 사이에 일생 동안 전쟁이 있으니라

왕상15:33 유다의 아사 왕 셋째 해에 아히야의 아들 바아사가 디르사에서 모든 이스라엘의 왕이 되어 이십 사 년 동안 다스리니라

왕상15:34 바아사가 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하되 여로보암의 길로 행하며 그가 이스라엘에게 범하게 한 그 죄 중에 행하였더라

골로새서 2 장.

골2:1 내가 너희와 라오디게아에 있는 자들과 무릇 내 육신의 얼굴을 보지 못한 자들을 위하여 얼마나 힘쓰는지를 너희가 알기를 원하노니

골2:2 이는 그들로 마음에 위안을 받고 사랑 안에서 연합하여 확실한 이 해의 모든 풍성함과 하나님의 비밀인 그리스도를 깨닫게 하려 함이니

골2:3 그 안에는 지혜와 지식의 모든 보화가 감추어져 있느니라

골2:4 내가 이것을 말함은 아무도 교묘한 말로 너희를 속이지 못하게 하려 함이니

골2:5 이는 내가 육신으로는 떠나 있으나 심령으로는 너희와 함께 있어 너희가 질서 있게 행함과 그리스도를 믿는 너희 믿음이 굳건한 것을 기쁘게 봄이라

골2:6 그러므로 너희가 그리스도 예수를 주로 받았으니 그 안에서 행하되

골2:7 그 안에 뿌리를 박으며 세움을 받아 교훈을 받은 대로 믿음에 굳게 서서 감사함을 넘치게 하라

골2:8 누가 철학과 헛된 속임수로 너희를 사로잡을까 주의하라 이것은 사람의 전통과 세상의 초등학문을 따름이요 그리스도를 따름이 아니니라

골2:9 그 안에는 신성의 모든 충만이 육체로 거하시고

골2:10 너희도 그 안에서 충만하여졌으니 그는 모든 통치자와 권세의 머리시라

골2:11 또 그 안에서 너희가 손으로 하지 아니한 할례를 받았으니 곧 육의 몸을 벗는 것이요 그리스도의 할례니라

골2:12 너희가 세례로 그리스도와 함께 장사되고 또 죽은 자들 가운데서 그를 일으키신 하나님의 역사를 믿음으로 말미암아 그 안에서 함께 일으키심을 받았느니라

골2:13 또 범죄와 육체의 무할례로 죽었던 너희를 하나님이 그와 함께 살리시고 우리의 모든 죄를 사하시고

골2:14 우리를 거스르고 불리하게 하는 법조문으로 쓴 증서를 지우시고 제하여 버리사 십자가에 못 박으시고

골2:15 통치자들과 권세들을 무력화하여 드러내어 구경거리로 삼으시고 십자가로 그들을 이기셨느니라

골2:16 그러므로 먹고 마시는 것과 절기나 초하루나 안식일을 이유로 누구든지 너희를 비판하지 못하게 하라

골2:17 이것들은 장래 일의 그림자이나 몸은 그리스도의 것이니라

골2:18 아무도 꾸며낸 겸손과 천사 숭배를 이유로 너희를 정죄하지 못하게 하라 그가 그 본 것에 의지하여 그 육신의 생각을 따라 헛되어 과장하고

골2:19 머리를 붙들지 아니하는지라 온 몸이 머리로 말미암아 마디와 힘줄로 공급함을 받고 연합하여 하나님이 자라게 하시므로 자라느니라

골2:20 너희가 세상의 초등학문에서 그리스도와 함께 죽었거든 어찌하여 세상에 사는 것과 같이 규례에 순종하느냐

골2:21 (곧 붙잡지도 말고 맛보지도 말고 만지지도 말라 하는 것이니

골2:22 이 모든 것은 한때 쓰이고는 없어지리라) 사람의 명령과 가르침을 따르느냐

골2:23 이런 것들은 자의적 숭배와 겸손과 몸을 괴롭게 하는 데는 지혜 있는 모양이나 오직 육체 따르는 것을 금하는 데는 조금도 유익이 없느니라

에스겔 45 장.

겔45:1 너희는 제비 뽑아 땅을 나누어 기업으로 삼을 때에 한 구역을 거룩한 땅으로 삼아 여호와께 예물로 드릴지니 그 길이는 이만 오천 척이요 너비는 만 척이라 그 구역 안 전부가 거 룩하리라

겔45:2 그 중에서 성소에 속할 땅은 길이가 오백 척이요 너비가 오백 척이니 네모가 반듯하며 그 외에 사방 쉰 척으로 전원이 되게 하되

겔45:3 이 측량한 가운데에서 길이는 이만 오천 척을 너비는 만 척을 측량하고 그 안에 성소를 둘지니 지극히 거룩한 곳이요

겔45:4 그 곳은 성소에서 수종드는 제사장들 곧 하나님께 가까이 나아가서 수종드는 자들에게 주는 거룩한 땅이니 그들이 집을 지을 땅이며 성소를 위한 거룩한 곳이라

겔45:5 또 길이는 이만 오천 척을 너비는 만 척을 측량하여 성전에서 수종드는 레위 사람에게 돌려 그들의 거주지를 삼아 마을 스물을 세우게 하고

겔45:6 구별한 거룩한 구역 옆에 너비는 오천 척을 길이는 이만 오천 척을 측량하여 성읍의 기지로 삼아 이스라엘 온 족속에게 돌리고

겔45:7 드린 거룩한 구역과 성읍의 기지 된 땅의 좌우편 곧 드린 거룩한 구역의 옆과 성읍의 기지 옆의 땅을 왕에게 돌리되 서쪽으로 향하여 서쪽 국경까지와 동쪽으로 향하여 동쪽 국경까지니 그 길이가 구역 하나와 서로 같을지니라

겔45:8 이 땅을 왕에게 돌려 이스라엘 가운데에 기업으로 삼게 하면 나의 왕들이 다시는 내 백성을 압제하지 아니하리라 그 나머지 땅은 이스라엘 족속에게 그 지파대로 줄지니라

겔45:9 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 이스라엘의 통치자들아 너희에게 만족하니라 너희는 포악과 겁탈을 제거하여 버리고 정의와 공의를 행하여 내 백성에게 속여 빼앗는 것을 그칠지니라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라

겔45:10 너희는 공정한 저울과 공정한 에바와 공정한 밧을 쓸지니

겔45:11 에바와 밧은 그 용량을 동일하게 하되 호멜의 용량을 따라 밧은 십분의 일 호멜을 담게 하고 에바도 십분의 일 호멜을 담게 할 것이며

겔45:12 세겔은 이십 게라니 이십 세겔과 이십오 세겔과 십오 세겔로 너희 마네가 되게 하라

겔45:13 너희가 마땅히 드릴 예물은 이러하니 밀 한 호멜에서는 육분의 일 에바를 드리고 보리 한 호멜에서도 육분의 일 에바를 드리며

겔45:14 기름은 정한 규례대로 한 고르에서 십분의 일 밧을 드릴지니 기름의 밧으로 말하면 한 고르는 십 밧 곧 한 호멜이며 (십 밧은 한 호멜이라)

겔45:15 또 이스라엘의 윤택한 초장의 가축 떼 이백 마리에서는 어린 양 한 마리를 드릴 것이라 백성을 속죄하기 위하여 이것들을 소제와 번제와 감사 제물로 삼을지니라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라

겔45:16 이 땅 모든 백성은 이 예물을 이스라엘의 군주에게 드리고

겔45:17 군주의 본분은 번제와 소제와 전제를 명절과 초하루와 안식일과 이스라엘 족속의 모든 정한 명절에 갖추는 것이니 이스라엘 족속을 속죄하기 위하여 이 속죄제와 소제와 번제와 감사 제물을 갖출지니라

겔45:18 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 첫째 달 초하룻날에 흠 없는 수송아지 한 마리를 가져다가 성소를 정결하게 하되

겔45:19 제사장이 그 속죄제 희생제물의 피를 가져다가 성전 문설주와 제단 아래층 네 모퉁이와 안뜰 문설주에 바를 것이요

겔45:20 그 달 칠일에도 모든 과실범과 모르고 범죄한 자를 위하여 역시 그렇게 하여 성전을 속죄할지니라

겔45:21 첫째 달 열나흗날에는 유월절을 칠 일 동안 명절로 지키며 누룩 없는 떡을 먹을 것이라

겔45:22 그 날에 왕은 자기와 이 땅 모든 백성을 위하여 송아지 한 마리를 갖추어 속죄제를 드릴 것이요

겔45:23 또 명절 칠 일 동안에는 그가 나 여호와를 위하여 번제를 준비하되 곧 이레 동안에 매일 흠 없는 수송아지 일곱 마리와 숫양 일곱 마리이며 또 매일 숫염소 한 마리를 갖추어 속죄제를 드릴 것이며

겔45:24 또 소제를 갖추되 수송아지 한 마리에는 밀가루 한 에바요 숫양 한 마리에도 한 에바며 밀가루 한 에바에는 기름 한 힌 씩이며

겔45:25 일곱째 달 열다섯째 날에 칠 일 동안 명절을 지켜 속죄제와 번제며 그 밀가루와 기름을 드릴 지니라

시편 99 장.

시99:1 여호와께서 다스리시니 만민이 떨 것이요 여호와께서 그룹 사이에 좌정하시니 땅이 흔들릴 것이로다

시99:2 시온에 계시는 여호와는 위대하시고 모든 민족보다 높으시도다

시99:3 주의 크고 두려운 이름을 찬송할지니 그는 거룩하심이로다

시99:4 능력 있는 왕은 정의를 사랑하느니라 주께서 공의를 견고하게 세우시고 주께서 야곱에게 정의와 공의를 행하시나이다

시99:5 너희는 여호와 우리 하나님을 높여 그의 발등상 앞에서 경배할지어다 그는 거룩하시도다

시99:6 그의 제사장들 중에는 모세와 아론이 있고 그의 이름을 부르는 자들 중에는 사무엘이 있도다 그들이 여호와께 간구하매 응답하셨도다

시99:7 여호와께서 구름 기둥 가운데서 그들에게 말씀하시니 그들은 그가 그들에게 주신 증거와 율례를 지켰도다

시99:8 여호와 우리 하나님이여 주께서는 그들에게 응답하셨고 그들의 행한 대로 갚기는 하셨으나 그들을 용서하신 하나님이시니이다

시99:9 너희는 여호와 우리 하나님을 높이고 그 성산에서 예배할지어다 여호와 우리 하나님은 거룩하심이로다

시편 100 장.

시100:1 온 땅이여 여호와께 즐거운 찬송을 부를지어다

시100:2 기쁨으로 여호와를 섬기며 노래하면서 그의 앞에 나아갈지어다

시100:3 여호와가 우리 하나님이신 줄 너희는 알지어다 그는 우리를 지으신 이요 우리는 그의 것이니 그의 백성이요 그의 기르시는 양이로다

시100:4 감사함으로 그의 문에 들어가며 찬송함으로 그의 궁정에 들어가서 그에게 감사하며 그의 이름을 송축할지어다

시100:5 여호와는 선하시니 그의 인자하심이 영원하고 그의 성실하심이 대대에 이르리로다

시편 101 장.

시101:1 내가 인자와 정의를 노래하겠나이다 여호와여 내가 주께 찬양하리이다

시101:2 내가 완전한 길을 주목하오리니 주께서 언제까지 내게 임하시겠나이까 내가 완전한 마음으로 내 집안에서 행하리이다

시101:3 나는 비천한 것을 내 눈앞에 두지 아니할 것이요 배교자들의 행위를 내가 미워하오리니 나는 그 어느 것도 붙들지 아니하리이다

시101:4 사악한 마음이 내게서 떠날 것이니 악한 일을 내가 알지 아니하리로다

시101:5 자기의 이웃을 은근히 헐뜯는 자를 내가 멸할 것이요 눈이 높고 마음이 교만한 자를 내가 용납하지 아니하리로다

시101:6 내 눈이 이 땅의 충성된 자를 살펴 나와 함께 살게 하리니 완전한 길에 행하는 자가 나를 따르리로다

시101:7 거짓을 행하는 자는 내 집안에 거주하지 못하며 거짓말하는 자는 내 목전에 서지 못하리로다

시101:8 아침마다 내가 이 땅의 모든 악인을 멸하리니 악을 행하는 자는 여호와의 성에서 다 끊어지리로다

1 Kings 15.

15:1 In the eighteenth year of the reign of Jeroboam son of Nebat, Abijah became king of Judah,

15:2 and he reigned in Jerusalem three years. His mother's name was Maacah daughter of Abishalom.

15:3 He committed all the sins his father had done before him; his heart was not fully devoted to the LORD his God, as the heart of David his forefather had been.

15:4 Nevertheless, for David's sake the LORD his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem by raising up a son to succeed him and by making Jerusalem strong.

15:5 For David had done what was right in the eyes of the LORD and had not failed to keep any of the LORD'S commands all the days of his life--except in the case of Uriah the Hittite.

15:6 There was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam throughout Abijah's lifetime.

15:7 As for the other events of Abijah's reign, and all he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah? There was war between Abijah and Jeroboam.

15:8 And Abijah rested with his fathers and was buried in the City of David. And Asa his son succeeded him as king.

15:9 In the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Asa became king of Judah,

15:10 and he reigned in Jerusalem forty-one years. His grandmother's name was Maacah daughter of Abishalom.

15:11 Asa did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, as his father David had done.

15:12 He expelled the male shrine prostitutes from the land and got rid of all the idols his fathers had made.

15:13 He even deposed his grandmother Maacah from her position as queen mother, because she had made a repulsive Asherah pole. Asa cut the pole down and burned it in the Kidron Valley.

15:14 Although he did not remove the high places, Asa's heart was fully committed to the LORD all his life.

15:15 He brought into the temple of the LORD the silver and gold and the articles that he and his father had dedicated.

15:16 There was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel throughout their reigns.

15:17 Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah and fortified Ramah to prevent anyone from leaving or entering the territory of Asa king of Judah.

15:18 Asa then took all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the LORD'S temple and of his own palace. He entrusted it to his officials and sent them to Ben-Hadad son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, the king of Aram, who was ruling in Damascus.

15:19 "Let there be a treaty between me and you," he said, "as there was between my father and your father. See, I am sending you a gift of silver and gold. Now break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel so he will withdraw from me."

15:20 Ben-Hadad agreed with King Asa and sent the commanders of his forces against the towns of Israel. He conquered Ijon, Dan, Abel Beth Maacah and all Kinnereth in addition to Naphtali.

15:21 When Baasha heard this, he stopped building Ramah and withdrew to Tirzah.

15:22 Then King Asa issued an order to all Judah--no one was exempt--and they carried away from Ramah the stones and timber Baasha had been using there. With them King Asa built up Geba in Benjamin, and also Mizpah.

15:23 As for all the other events of Asa's reign, all his achievements, all he did and the cities he built, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah? In his old age, however, his feet became diseased.

15:24 Then Asa rested with his fathers and was buried with them in the city of his father David. And Jehoshaphat his son succeeded him as king.

15:25 Nadab son of Jeroboam became king of Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah, and he reigned over Israel two years.

15:26 He did evil in the eyes of the LORD, walking in the ways of his father and in his sin, which he had caused Israel to commit.

15:27 Baasha son of Ahijah of the house of Issachar plotted against him, and he struck him down at Gibbethon, a Philistine town, while Nadab and all Israel were besieging it.

15:28 Baasha killed Nadab in the third year of Asa king of Judah and succeeded him as king.

15:29 As soon as he began to reign, he killed Jeroboam's whole family. He did not leave Jeroboam anyone that breathed, but destroyed them all, according to the word of the LORD given through his servant Ahijah the Shilonite--

15:30 because of the sins Jeroboam had committed and had caused Israel to commit, and because he provoked the LORD, the God of Israel, to anger.

15:31 As for the other events of Nadab's reign, and all he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel?

15:32 There was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel throughout their reigns.

15:33 In the third year of Asa king of Judah, Baasha son of Ahijah became king of all Israel in Tirzah, and he reigned twenty-four years.

15:34 He did evil in the eyes of the LORD, walking in the ways of Jeroboam and in his sin, which he had caused Israel to commit.

Colossians 2.

2:1 I want you to know how much I am struggling for you and for those at Laodicea, and for all who have not met me personally.

2:2 My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ,

2:3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

2:4 I tell you this so that no one may deceive you by fine-sounding arguments.

2:5 For though I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit and delight to see how orderly you are and how firm your faith in Christ is.

2:6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him,

2:7 rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

2:8 See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.

2:9 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form,

2:10 and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority.

2:11 In him you were also circumcised, in the putting off of the sinful nature, not with a circumcision done by the hands of men but with the circumcision done by Christ,

2:12 having been buried with him in baptism and raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead.

2:13 When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins,

2:14 having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross.

2:15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

2:16 Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day.

2:17 These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.

2:18 Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind puffs him up with idle notions.

2:19 He has lost connection with the Head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.

2:20 Since you died with Christ to the basic principles of this world, why, as though you still belonged to it, do you submit to its rules:

2:21 "Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!"?

2:22 These are all destined to perish with use, because they are based on human commands and teachings.

2:23 Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence.

Ezekiel 45.

45:1 "'When you allot the land as an inheritance, you are to present to the LORD a portion of the land as a sacred district, 25,000 cubits long and 20,000 cubits wide; the entire area will be holy.

45:2 Of this, a section 500 cubits square is to be for the sanctuary, with 50 cubits around it for open land.

45:3 In the sacred district, measure off a section 25,000 cubits long and 10,000 cubits wide. In it will be the sanctuary, the Most Holy Place.

45:4 It will be the sacred portion of the land for the priests, who minister in the sanctuary and who draw near to minister before the LORD. It will be a place for their houses as well as a holy place for the sanctuary.

45:5 An area 25,000 cubits long and 10,000 cubits wide will belong to the Levites, who serve in the temple, as their possession for towns to live in.

45:6 "'You are to give the city as its property an area 5,000 cubits wide and 25,000 cubits long, adjoining the sacred portion; it will belong to the whole house of Israel.

45:7 "'The prince will have the land bordering each side of the area formed by the sacred district and the property of the city. It will extend westward from the west side and eastward from the east side, running lengthwise from the western to the eastern border parallel to one of the tribal portions.

45:8 This land will be his possession in Israel. And my princes will no longer oppress my people but will allow the house of Israel to possess the land according to their tribes.

45:9 "'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: You have gone far enough, O princes of Israel! Give up your violence and oppression and do what is just and right. Stop dispossessing my people, declares the Sovereign LORD.

45:10 You are to use accurate scales, an accurate ephah and an accurate bath.

45:11 The ephah and the bath are to be the same size, the bath containing a tenth of a homer and the ephah a tenth of a homer; the homer is to be the standard measure for both.

45:12 The shekel is to consist of twenty gerahs. Twenty shekels plus twenty-five shekels plus fifteen shekels equal one mina.

45:13 "'This is the special gift you are to offer: a sixth of an ephah from each homer of wheat and a sixth of an ephah from each homer of barley.

45:14 The prescribed portion of oil, measured by the bath, is a tenth of a bath from each cor (which consists of ten baths or one homer, for ten baths are equivalent to a homer).

45:15 Also one sheep is to be taken from every flock of two hundred from the well-watered pastures of Israel. These will be used for the grain offerings, burnt offerings and fellowship offerings to make atonement for the people, declares the Sovereign LORD.

45:16 All the people of the land will participate in this special gift for the use of the prince in Israel.

45:17 It will be the duty of the prince to provide the burnt offerings, grain offerings and drink offerings at the festivals, the New Moons and the Sabbaths--at all the appointed feasts of the house of Israel. He will provide the sin offerings, grain offerings, burnt offerings and fellowship offerings to make atonement for the house of Israel.

45:18 "'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: In the first month on the first day you are to take a young bull without defect and purify the sanctuary.

45:19 The priest is to take some of the blood of the sin offering and put it on the doorposts of the temple, on the four corners of the upper ledge of the altar and on the gateposts of the inner court.

45:20 You are to do the same on the seventh day of the month for anyone who sins unintentionally or through ignorance; so you are to make atonement for the temple.

45:21 "'In the first month on the fourteenth day you are to observe the Passover, a feast lasting seven days, during which you shall eat bread made without yeast.

45:22 On that day the prince is to provide a bull as a sin offering for himself and for all the people of the land.

45:23 Every day during the seven days of the Feast he is to provide seven bulls and seven rams without defect as a burnt offering to the LORD, and a male goat for a sin offering.

45:24 He is to provide as a grain offering an ephah for each bull and an ephah for each ram, along with a hin of oil for each ephah.

45:25 "'During the seven days of the Feast, which begins in the seventh month on the fifteenth day, he is to make the same provision for sin offerings, burnt offerings, grain offerings and oil.

Psalms 99.

99:1 The LORD reigns, let the nations tremble; he sits enthroned between the cherubim, let the earth shake.

99:2 Great is the LORD in Zion; he is exalted over all the nations.

99:3 Let them praise your great and awesome name--he is holy.

99:4 The King is mighty, he loves justice--you have established equity; in Jacob you have done what is just and right.

99:5 Exalt the LORD our God and worship at his footstool; he is holy.

99:6 Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel was among those who called on his name; they called on the LORD and he answered them.

99:7 He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud; they kept his statutes and the decrees he gave them.

99:8 O LORD our God, you answered them; you were to Israel a forgiving God, though you punished their misdeeds.

99:9 Exalt the LORD our God and worship at his holy mountain, for the LORD our God is holy.

Psalms 100.

100:1 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.

100:2 Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.

100:3 Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

100:4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.

100:5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Psalms 101.

101:1 I will sing of your love and justice; to you, O LORD, I will sing praise.

101:2 I will be careful to lead a blameless life--when will you come to me? I will walk in my house with blameless heart.

101:3 I will set before my eyes no vile thing. The deeds of faithless men I hate; they will not cling to me.

101:4 Men of perverse heart shall be far from me; I will have nothing to do with evil.

101:5 Whoever slanders his neighbor in secret, him will I put to silence; whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, him will I not endure.

101:6 My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he whose walk is blameless will minister to me.

101:7 No one who practices deceit will dwell in my house; no one who speaks falsely will stand in my presence.

101:8 Every morning I will put to silence all the wicked in the land; I will cut off every evildoer from the city of the LORD.
