열왕기하 1 장.

왕하1:1 아합이 죽은 후에 모압이 이스라엘을 배반하였더라

왕하1:2 아하시야가 사마리아에 있는 그의 다락 난간에서 떨어져 병들매 사자를 보내며 그들에게 이르되 가서 에그론의 신 바알세붑에게 이 병이 낫겠나 물어 보라 하니라

왕하1:3 여호와의 사자가 디셉 사람 엘리야에게 이르되 너는 일어나 올라가서 사마리아 왕의 사자를 만나 그에게 이르기를 이스라엘에 하나님이 없어서 너희가 에그론의 신 바알세붑에게 물으러 가느냐

왕하1:4 그러므로 여호와의 말씀이 네가 올라간 침상에서 내려오지 못할지라 네가 반드시 죽으리라 하셨다 하라 엘리야가 이에 가니라

왕하1:5 사자들이 왕에게 돌아오니 왕이 그들에게 이르되 너희는 어찌하여 돌아왔느냐 하니

왕하1:6 그들이 말하되 한 사람이 올라와서 우리를 만나 이르되 너희는 너희를 보낸 왕에게로 돌아가서 그에게 고하기를 여호와의 말씀이 이스라엘에 하나님이 없어서 네가 에그론의 신 바알세붑에게 물으려고 보내느냐 그러므로 네가 올라간 침상에서 내려오지 못할지라 네가 반드시 죽으리라 하셨다 하라 하더이다

왕하1:7 왕이 그들에게 이르되 올라와서 너희를 만나 이 말을 너희에게 한 그 사람은 어떤 사람이더냐

왕하1:8 그들이 그에게 대답하되 그는 털이 많은 사람인데 허리에 가죽 띠를 띠었더이다 하니 왕이 이르되 그는 디셉 사람 엘리야로다

왕하1:9 이에 오십부장과 그의 군사 오십 명을 엘리야에게로 보내매 그가 엘리야에게로 올라가 본즉 산꼭대기에 앉아 있는지라 그가 엘리야에게 이르되 하나님의 사람이여 왕의 말씀이 내려오라 하셨나이다

왕하1:10 엘리야가 오십부장에게 대답하여 이르되 내가 만일 하나님의 사람이면 불이 하늘에서 내려와 너와 너의 오십 명을 사를지로다 하매 불이 곧 하늘에서 내려와 그와 그의 군사 오십 명을 살랐더라

왕하1:11 왕이 다시 다른 오십부장과 그의 군사 오십 명을 엘리야에게로 보내니 그가 엘리야에게 말하여 이르되 하나님의 사람이여 왕의 말씀이 속히 내려오라 하셨나이다 하니

왕하1:12 엘리야가 그들에게 대답하여 이르되 내가 만일 하나님의 사람이면 불이 하늘에서 내려와 너와 너의 오십 명을 사를지로다 하매 하나님의 불이 곧 하늘에서 내려와 그와 그의 군사 오십 명을 살랐더라

왕하1:13 왕이 세 번째 오십부장과 그의 군사 오십 명을 보낸지라 셋째 오십부장이 올라가서 엘리야 앞에 이르러 그의 무릎을 끓어 엎드려 간구하여 이르되 하나님의 사람이여 원하건대 나의 생명과 당신의 종인 이 오십 명의 생명을 당신은 귀히 보소서

왕하1:14 불이 하늘에서 내려와 전번의 오십부장 둘과 그의 군사 오십 명을 살랐거니와 나의 생명을 당신은 귀히 보소서 하매

왕하1:15 여호와의 사자가 엘리야에게 이르되 너는 그를 두려워하지 말고 함께 내려가라 하신지라 엘리야가 곧 일어나 그와 함께 내려와 왕에게 이르러

왕하1:16 말하되 여호와의 말씀이 네가 사자를 보내 에그론의 신 바알세붑에게 물으려 하니 이스라엘에 그의 말을 물을 만한 하나님이 안 계심이냐 그러므로 네가 그 올라간 침상에서 내려오지 못할지라 네가 반드시 죽으리라 하셨다 하니라

왕하1:17 왕이 엘리야가 전한 여호와의 말씀대로 죽고 그가 아들이 없으므로 여호람이 그를 대신하여 왕이 되니 유다 왕 여호사밧의 아들 여호람의 둘째 해였더라

왕하1:18 아하시야가 행한 그 남은 사적은 모두 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐

데살로니가후서 1 장.

살후1:1 바울과 실루아노와 디모데는 하나님 우리 아버지와 주 예수 그리스도 안에 있는 데살로니가인의 교회에 편지하노니

살후1:2 하나님 아버지와 주 예수 그리스도로부터 은혜와 평강이 너희에게 있을지어다

살후1:3 형제들아 우리가 너희를 위하여 항상 하나님께 감사할지니 이것이 당연함은 너희의 믿음이 더욱 자라고 너희가 다 각기 서로 사랑함이 풍성함이니

살후1:4 그러므로 너희가 견디고 있는 모든 박해와 환난 중에서 너희 인내와 믿음으로 말미암아 하나님의 여러 교회에서 우리가 친히 자랑하노라

살후1:5 이는 하나님의 공의로운 심판의 표요 너희로 하여금 하나님의 나라에 합당한 자로 여김을 받게 하려 함이니 그 나라를 위하여 너희가 또한 고난을 받느니라

살후1:6 너희로 환난을 받게 하는 자들에게는 환난으로 갚으시고

살후1:7 환난을 받는 너희에게는 우리와 함께 안식으로 갚으시는 것이 하나님의 공의시니 주 예수께서 자기의 능력의 천사들과 함께 하늘로부터 불꽃 가운데에 나타나실 때에

살후1:8 하나님을 모르는 자들과 우리 주 예수의 복음에 복종하지 않는 자들에게 형벌을 내리시리니

살후1:9 이런 자들은 주의 얼굴과 그의 힘의 영광을 떠나 영원한 멸망의 형벌을 받으리로다

살후1:10 그 날에 그가 강림하사 그의 성도들에게서 영광을 받으시고 모든 믿는 자들에게서 놀랍게 여김을 얻으시리니 이는 ( 우리의 증거가 너희에게 믿어졌음이라)

살후1:11 이러므로 우리도 항상 너희를 위하여 기도함은 우리 하나님이 너희를 그 부르심에 합당한 자로 여기시고 모든 선을 기뻐함과 믿음의 역사를 능력으로 이루게 하시고

살후1:12 우리 하나님과 주 예수 그리스도의 은혜대로 우리 주 예수의 이름이 너희 가운데서 영광을 받으시고 너희도 그 안에서 영광을 받게 하려 함이라

다니엘 5 장.

단5:1 벨사살 왕이 그의 귀족 천 명을 위하여 큰 잔치를 베풀고 그 천 명 앞에서 술을 마시니라

단5:2 벨사살이 술을 마실 때에 명하여 그의 부친 느부갓네살이 예루살렘 성전에서 탈취하여 온 금, 은 그릇을 가져오라고 명하였으니 이는 왕과 귀족들과 왕후들과 후궁들이 다 그것으로 마시려 함이었더라

단5:3 이에 예루살렘 하나님의 전 성소 중에서 탈취하여 온 금 그릇을 가져오매 왕이 그 귀족들과 황후들과 후궁들과 더불어 그것으로 마시더라

단5:4 그들이 술을 마시고는 그 금, 은, 구리, 쇠, 나무, 돌로 만든 신들을 찬양하니라

단5:5 그 때에 사람의 손가락들이 나타나서 왕궁 촛대 맞은편 석회벽에 글자를 쓰는데 왕이 그 글자 쓰는 손가락을 본지라

단5:6 이에 왕의 즐기던 얼굴 빛이 변하고 그 생각이 번민하여 넓적 다리 마디가 녹는 듯하고 그의 무릎이 서로 부딪친지라

단5:7 왕이 크게 소리 질러 술객과 갈대아 술사와 점쟁이를 불러오게 하고 바벨론의 지혜자들에게 말하되 누구를 막론하고 이 글자를 읽고 그 해석을 내게 보이면 자주색 옷을 입히고 금사슬을 그의 목에 걸어 주리니 그를 나라의 셋째 통치자로 삼으리라 하니라

단5:8 그 때에 왕의 지혜자가 다 들어 왔으나 능히 그 글자를 읽지 못하며 그 해석을 왕에 알려 주지 못하는지라

단5:9 그러므로 벨사살 왕이 크게 번민하여 그의 얼굴빛이 변하였고 귀족들도 다 놀라니라

단5:10 왕비가 왕과 그 귀족들의 말로 말미암아 잔치하는 궁에 들어왔더니 이에 말하여 이르되 왕이여 만수무강 하옵소서 왕의 생각을 번민하게 하지 말며 얼굴빛을 변할 것도 아니니이 다

단5:11 왕의 나라에 거룩한 신들의 영이 있는 사람이 있으니 곧 왕의 부친 때에 있던 자로서 명철과 총명과 지혜가 신들의 지혜와 같은 자니이다 왕의 부친 느부갓네살 왕이 그를 세워 박수와 술객과 갈대아 슬사와 점쟁이의 어른을 삼으셨으니

단5:12 왕이 벨드사살이라 이름하는 이 다니엘은 마음이 민첩하고 지식과 총명이 있어 능히 꿈을 해석하며 은밀한 말을 밝히며 의문을 풀 수 있었나이다 이제 다니엘을 부르소서 그리하시면 그가 그 해석을 알려 드리리이다 하더라

단5:13 이에 다니엘이 부름을 받아 왕의 앞에 나오매 왕이 다니엘에게 말하되 네가 나의 부왕이 유다에서 사로잡아 온 유다 자손 중의 그 다니엘이냐

단5:14 내가 네게 대하여 들은즉 네 안에는 신들의 영이 있으므로 네가 명철과 총명과 비상한 지혜가 있다 하도다

단5:15 지금 여러 지혜자와 술객을 내 앞에 불러다가 그들에게 이 글을 읽고 그 해석을 내게 알게 하라 하였으나 그들이 다 그 해석을 내게 보이지 못하였느니라

단5:16 내가 네게 대하여 들은즉 너는 해석을 잘하고 의문을 푼다 하도다 그런즉 이제 네가 이 글을 읽고 그 해석을 내게 알려 주면 네게 자주색 옷을 입히고 금 사슬을 네 목에 걸어 주어 너를 나라의 셋째 통치자로 삼으리라 하니

단5:17 다니엘이 왕에게 대답하여 이르되 왕의 예물은 왕이 친히 가지시며 왕의 상급은 다른 사람에게 주옵소서 그럴지라도 내가 왕을 위하여 이 글을 읽으며 그 해석을 아뢰리이다

단5:18 왕이여 지극히 높으신 하나님이 왕의 부친 느부갓네살에게 나라와 큰 권세와 영광과 위업을 주셨고

단5:19 그에게 큰 권세를 주셨으므로 백성들과 나라들과 언어가 다른 모든 사람들이 그의 앞에서 떨며 두려워하였으며 그는 임의로 죽이며 임의로 살리며 임의로 높이며 임의로 낮추었더 니

단5:20 그가 마음이 높아지며 뜻이 완악하여 교만을 행하므로 그의 왕위가 폐한 바 되며 그의 영광을 빼앗기고

단5:21 사람 중에서 쫓겨나서 그의 마음이 들짐승의 마음과 같았고 또 들나귀와 함께 살며 또 소처럼 풀을 먹으며 그의 몸이 하늘 이슬에 젖었으며 지극히 높으신 하나님이 사람 나라를 다스리시며 자기의 뜻대로 누구든지 그 자리에 세우시는 줄을 알기에 이르렀나이다

단5:22 벨사살이여 왕은 그의 아들이 되어서 이것을 다 알고도 아직도 마음을 낮추지 아니하고

단5:23 도리어 자신을 하늘의 주재보다 높이며 그의 성전 그릇을 왕 앞으로 가져다가 왕과 귀족 들과 왕후들과 후궁들이다 그것으로 뿔을 마시고 왕이 또 보지도 듣지도 알지도 못하는 금, 은, 구리, 쇠와 나무, 돌로 만든 신상들을 찬양하고 도리어 왕의 호흡을 주장하시고 왕의 모든 길을 작정하시는 하나님께는 영광을 돌리지 아니한지라

단5:24 이러므로 그의 앞에서 이 손가락이 나와서 이 글을 기록하였나이다

단5:25 기록된 글자는 이것이니 곧 메네 메네 데겔 우바르신이라

단5:26 그 글을 해석하건대 메네는 하나님이 이미 왕의 나라의 시대를 세어서 그것을 끝나게 하셨다 함이요

단5:27 데겔은 왕을 저울에 달아보니 부족함이 보였다 함이요

단5:28 베레스는 왕의 나라가 나뉘어서 메대와 바사 사람에게 준 바 되었다 함이니이다 하니

단5:29 이에 벨사살이 명하여 그들이 다니엘에게 자주색 옷을 입히게 하며 금 사슬을 그의 목에 걸어 주고 그를 위하여 조서를 내려 나라의 셋째 통치자로 삼으니라

단5:30 그 날 밤에 갈대아 왕 벨사살이 죽임을 당하였고

단5:31 메대 사람 다리오가 나라를 얻었는데 그 때에 다리오는 육십 이세였더라

시편 110 장.

시110:1 여호와께서 내 주께 말씀하시기를 내가 네 원수들로 네 발판이 되게 하기까지 너는 내 오른쪽에 앉아 있으라 하셨도다

시110:2 여호와께서 시온에서부터 주의 권능의 규를 내보내시리니 주는 원수들 중에서 다스리소서

시110:3 주의 권능의 날에 주의 백성이 거룩한 옷을 입고 즐거이 헌신하니 새벽 이슬 같은 주의 청년들이 주께 나오는도다

시110:4 여호와는 맹세하고 변하지 아니 하시리라 이르시기를 너는 멜기세덱의 서열을 따라 영원한 제사장이라 하셨도다

시110:5 주의 오른쪽에 계신 주께서 그의 노하시는 날에 왕들을 쳐서 깨뜨리실 것이라

시110:6 뭇 나라를 심판하여 시체로 가득하게 하시고 여러 나라의 머리를 쳐서 깨뜨리시며

시110:7 길 가의 시냇물을 마시므로 그의 머리를 드시리로다

시편 111 장.

시111:1 할렐루야, 내가 정직한 자들의 모임과 회중 가운데에서 전심으로 여호와께 감사하리로다

시111:2 여호와께서 행하시는 일들이 크시오니 이를 즐거워하는 자들이 다 기리는도다

시111:3 그의 행하시는 일이 존귀하고 엄위하며 그의 공의가 영원히 서 있도다

시111:4 그의 기적을 사람이 기억하게 하셨으니 여호와는 은혜로우시고 자비로우시도다

시111:5 여호와께서 자기를 경외하는 자들에게 양식을 주시며 그의 언약을 영원히 기억하시리로다

시111:6 그가 그들에게 뭇 나라의 기업을 주사 그가 행하시는 일의 능력을 그들에게 알리셨도다

시111:7 그의 손이 하는 일은 진실과 정의이며 그의 법도는 다 확실하니

시111:8 영원무궁토록 정하신 바요 진실과 정의로 행하신 바로다

시111:9 여호와께서 그의 백성을 속량하시며 그의 언약을 영원히 세우셨으니 그의 이름이 거룩하고 지존하시도다

시111:10 여호와를 경외함이 지혜의 근본이라 그의 계명을 지키는 자는 다 훌륭한 지각을 가진 자이니 여호와를 찬양함이 영원히 계속되리로다

2 Kings 1.

1:1 After Ahab's death, Moab rebelled against Israel.

1:2 Now Ahaziah had fallen through the lattice of his upper room in Samaria and injured himself. So he sent messengers, saying to them, "Go and consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron, to see if I will recover from this injury."

1:3 But the angel of the LORD said to Elijah the Tishbite, "Go up and meet the messengers of the king of Samaria and ask them, 'Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are going off to consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron?'

1:4 Therefore this is what the LORD says: 'You will not leave the bed you are lying on. You will certainly die!'" So Elijah went.

1:5 When the messengers returned to the king, he asked them, "Why have you come back?"

1:6 "A man came to meet us," they replied. "And he said to us, 'Go back to the king who sent you and tell him, "This is what the LORD says: Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are sending men to consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you will not leave the bed you are lying on. You will certainly die!"'"

1:7 The king asked them, "What kind of man was it who came to meet you and told you this?"

1:8 They replied, "He was a man with a garment of hair and with a leather belt around his waist." The king said, "That was Elijah the Tishbite."

1:9 Then he sent to Elijah a captain with his company of fifty men. The captain went up to Elijah, who was sitting on the top of a hill, and said to him, "Man of God, the king says, 'Come down!'"

1:10 Elijah answered the captain, "If I am a man of God, may fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men!" Then fire fell from heaven and consumed the captain and his men.

1:11 At this the king sent to Elijah another captain with his fifty men. The captain said to him, "Man of God, this is what the king says, 'Come down at once!'"

1:12 "If I am a man of God," Elijah replied, "may fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men!" Then the fire of God fell from heaven and consumed him and his fifty men.

1:13 So the king sent a third captain with his fifty men. This third captain went up and fell on his knees before Elijah. "Man of God," he begged, "please have respect for my life and the lives of these fifty men, your servants!

1:14 See, fire has fallen from heaven and consumed the first two captains and all their men. But now have respect for my life!"

1:15 The angel of the LORD said to Elijah, "Go down with him; do not be afraid of him." So Elijah got up and went down with him to the king.

1:16 He told the king, "This is what the LORD says: Is it because there is no God in Israel for you to consult that you have sent messengers to consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron? Because you have done this, you will never leave the bed you are lying on. You will certainly die!"

1:17 So he died, according to the word of the LORD that Elijah had spoken. Because Ahaziah had no son, Joram succeeded him as king in the second year of Jehoram son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah.

1:18 As for all the other events of Ahaziah's reign, and what he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel?

2 Thessalonians 1.

1:1 Paul, Silas and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:

1:2 Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

1:3 We ought always to thank God for you, brothers, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love every one of you has for each other is increasing.

1:4 Therefore, among God's churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring.

1:5 All this is evidence that God's judgment is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering.

1:6 God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you

1:7 and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels.

1:8 He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

1:9 They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power

1:10 on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you.

1:11 With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith.

1:12 We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Daniel 5.

5:1 King Belshazzar gave a great banquet for a thousand of his nobles and drank wine with them.

5:2 While Belshazzar was drinking his wine, he gave orders to bring in the gold and silver goblets that Nebuchadnezzar his father had taken from the temple in Jerusalem, so that the king and his nobles, his wives and his concubines might drink from them.

5:3 So they brought in the gold goblets that had been taken from the temple of God in Jerusalem, and the king and his nobles, his wives and his concubines drank from them.

5:4 As they drank the wine, they praised the gods of gold and silver, of bronze, iron, wood and stone.

5:5 Suddenly the fingers of a human hand appeared and wrote on the plaster of the wall, near the lampstand in the royal palace. The king watched the hand as it wrote.

5:6 His face turned pale and he was so frightened that his knees knocked together and his legs gave way.

5:7 The king called out for the enchanters, astrologers and diviners to be brought and said to these wise men of Babylon, "Whoever reads this writing and tells me what it means will be clothed in purple and have a gold chain placed around his neck, and he will be made the third highest ruler in the kingdom."

5:8 Then all the king's wise men came in, but they could not read the writing or tell the king what it meant.

5:9 So King Belshazzar became even more terrified and his face grew more pale. His nobles were baffled.

5:10 The queen, hearing the voices of the king and his nobles, came into the banquet hall. "O king, live forever!" she said. "Don't be alarmed! Don't look so pale!

5:11 There is a man in your kingdom who has the spirit of the holy gods in him. In the time of your father he was found to have insight and intelligence and wisdom like that of the gods. King Nebuchadnezzar your father--your father the king, I say--appointed him chief of the magicians, enchanters, astrologers and diviners.

5:12 This man Daniel, whom the king called Belteshazzar, was found to have a keen mind and knowledge and understanding, and also the ability to interpret dreams, explain riddles and solve difficult problems. Call for Daniel, and he will tell you what the writing means."

5:13 So Daniel was brought before the king, and the king said to him, "Are you Daniel, one of the exiles my father the king brought from Judah?

5:14 I have heard that the spirit of the gods is in you and that you have insight, intelligence and outstanding wisdom.

5:15 The wise men and enchanters were brought before me to read this writing and tell me what it means, but they could not explain it.

5:16 Now I have heard that you are able to give interpretations and to solve difficult problems. If you can read this writing and tell me what it means, you will be clothed in purple and have a gold chain placed around your neck, and you will be made the third highest ruler in the kingdom."

5:17 Then Daniel answered the king, "You may keep your gifts for yourself and give your rewards to someone else. Neverthehess, I will read the writing for the king and tell him what it means.

5:18 "O king, the Most High God gave your father Nebuchadnezzar sovereignty and greatness and glory and splendor.

5:19 Because of the high position he gave him, all the peoples and nations and men of every language dreaded and feared him. Those the king wanted to put to death, he put to death; those he wanted to spare, he spared; those he wanted to promote, he promoted; and those he wanted to humble, he humbled.

5:20 But when his heart became arrogant and hardened with pride, he was deposed from his royal throne and stripped of his glory.

5:21 He was driven away from people and given the mind of an animal; he lived with the wild donkeys and ate grass like cattle; and his body was drenched with the dew of heaven, until he acknowledged that the Most High God is sovereign over the kingdoms of men and sets over them anyone he wishes.

5:22 "But you his son, O Belshazzar, have not humbled yourself, though you knew all this.

5:23 Instead, you have set yourself up against the Lord of heaven. You had the goblets from his temple brought to you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines drank wine from them. You praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or understand. But you did not honor the God who holds in his hand your life and all your ways.

5:24 Therefore he sent the hand that wrote the inscription.

5:25 "This is the inscription that was written: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, PARSIN

5:26 "This is what these words mean: Mene: God has numbered the days of your reign and brought it to an end.

5:27 Tekel: You have been weighed on the scales and found wanting.

5:28 Peres: Your kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and Persians."

5:29 Then at Belshazzar's command, Daniel was clothed in purple, a gold chain was placed around his neck, and he was proclaimed the third highest ruler in the kingdom.

5:30 That very night Belshazzar, king of the Babylonians, was slain,

5:31 and Darius the Mede took over the kingdom, at the age of sixty-two.

Psalms 110.

110:1 The LORD says to my Lord: "Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet."

110:2 The LORD will extend your mighty scepter from Zion; you will rule in the midst of your enemies.

110:3 Your troops will be willing on your day of battle. Arrayed in holy majesty, from the womb of the dawn you will receive the dew of your youth.

110:4 The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind: "You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek."

110:5 The Lord is at your right hand; he will crush kings on the day of his wrath.

110:6 He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead and crushing the rulers of the whole earth.

110:7 He will drink from a brook beside the way; therefore he will lift up his head.

Psalms 111.

111:1 Praise the LORD. I will extol the LORD with all my heart in the council of the upright and in the assembly.

111:2 Great are the works of the LORD; they are pondered by all who delight in them.

111:3 Glorious and majestic are his deeds, and his righteousness endures forever.

111:4 He has caused his wonders to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and compassionate.

111:5 He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever.

111:6 He has shown his people the power of his works, giving them the lands of other nations.

111:7 The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy.

111:8 They are steadfast for ever and ever, done in faithfulness and uprightness.

111:9 He provided redemption for his people; he ordained his covenant forever--holy and awesome is his name.

111:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.
