Isaiah 13

사13:1 아모스의 아들 이사야가 바벨론에 대하여 받은 경고라

An oracle concerning Babylon that Isaiah son of Amoz saw:

사13:2 너희는 민둥산 위에 기치를 세우고 소리를 높여 그들을 부르며 손을 흔들어 그들을 존귀한 자의 문에 들어가게 하라

Raise a banner on a bare hilltop, shout to them; beckon to them to enter the gates of the nobles.

사13:3 내가 거룩하게 구별한 자들에게 명령하고 나의 위엄을 기뻐하는 용사들을 불러 나의 노여움를 전하게 하였느니라

I have commanded my holy ones; I have summoned my warriors to carry out my wrath--those who rejoice in my triumph.

사13:4 산에서 무리의 소리가 남이여 많은 백성의 소리 같으니 곧 열국 민족이 함께 모여 떠드는 소리라 만군의 여호와께서 싸움을 위하여 군대를 검열하심이로다

Listen, a noise on the mountains, like that of a great multitude! Listen, an uproar among the kingdoms, like nations massing together! The LORD Almighty is mustering an army for war.

사13:5 무리가 먼 나라에서, 하늘 끝에서 왔음이여 곧 여호와와 그의 진노의 병기라 온 땅을 멸하려 함이로다

They come from faraway lands, from the ends of the heavens--the LORD and the weapons of his wrath--to destroy the whole country.

사13:6 너희는 애곡할지어다 여호와의 날이 가까왔으니 전능자에게서 멸망이 임할 것임이로다

Wail, for the day of the LORD is near; it will come like destruction from the Almighty.

사13:7 그러므로 모든 손의 힘이 풀리고 각 사람의 마음이 녹을 것이라

Because of this, all hands will go limp, every man's heart will melt.

사13:8 그들이 놀라며 괴로움과 슬픔에 사로잡혀서 해이 임박한 여자 같이 고통하며 서로 보고 놀라며 얼굴은 불꽃 같으리로다

Terror will seize them, pain and anguish will grip them; they will writhe like a woman in labor. They will look aghast at each other, their faces aflame.

사13:9 보라 여호와의 날 곧 잔혹히 분냄과 맹렬히 노하는 날이 이르러 땅을 황폐하게 하며 그 중에서 죄인들을 멸하리니

See, the day of the LORD is coming--a cruel day, with wrath and fierce anger--to make the land desolate and destroy the sinners within it.

사13:10 하늘의 별들과 별 무리가 그 빛을 내지 아니하며 해가 돋아도 어두우며 달이 그 빛을 비추이지 아니할 것이로다

The stars of heaven and their constellations will not show their light. The rising sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light.

사13:11 내가 세상의 악과 악인의 죄를 벌하며 교만한 자의 오만을 끊으며 강포한 자의 거만을 낮출 것이며

I will punish the world for its evil, the wicked for their sins. I will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty and will humble the pride of the ruthless.

사13:12 내가 사람을 정금보다 희소하게 하며 인생을 오빌의 금보다 희귀하게 하리로다

I will make man scarcer than pure gold, more rare than the gold of Ophir.

사13:13 그러므로 나 만군의 여호와가 분하여 맹렬히 분노하는 날에 하늘을 진동시키며 땅을 흔들어 그 자리에서 떠나게 하리니

Therefore I will make the heavens tremble; and the earth will shake from its place at the wrath of the LORD Almighty, in the day of his burning anger.

사13:14 그들이 쫓긴 노루나 모으는 자 없는 양 같이 각기 자기 동족에게로 돌아가며 각기 본향으로 도망할 것이나

Like a hunted gazelle, like sheep without a shepherd, each will return to his own people, each will flee to his native land.

사13:15 만나는 자마다 창에 찔리겠고 잡히는 자마다 칼에 엎드러지겠고

Whoever is captured will be thrust through; all who are caught will fall by the sword.

사13:16 그들의 어린아이들은 그들의 목전에 메어침을 당하겠고 그들의 집은 노략을 당하겠고 그들의 아내는 욕을 당하리라

Their infants will be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses will be looted and their wives ravished.

사13:17 보라 은을 돌아보지 아니하며 금을 기뻐하지 아니하는 메대 사람을 내가 충동시하여 그들을 치게 하리니

See, I will stir up against them the Medes, who do not care for silver and have no delight in gold.

사13:18 메대 사람이 활로 청년을 쏘아 죽이며 태의 열매를 긍휼히 여기지 아니하며 아이를 애석하게 보지 아니하리라

Their bows will strike down the young men; they will have no mercy on infants nor will they look with compassion on children.

사13:19 열국의 영광이요 갈대아 사람의 자랑하는 노리개가 된 바벨론이 하나님께 멸망당한 소돔과 고모라 같이 되리니

Babylon, the jewel of kingdoms, the glory of the Babylonians' pride, will be overthrown by God like Sodom and Gomorrah.

사13:20 그 곳에 거주할 자가 없겠고 거처할 사람이 대대에 없을 것이며 아라비아 사람도 거기에 장막을 치지 아니하며 목자들도 그 곳에 그들의 양 떼를 쉬게 하지 아니할 것이요

She will never be inhabited or lived in through all generations; no Arab will pitch his tent there, no shepherd will rest his flocks there.

사13:21 오직 들짐승들이 거기에 엎드리고 부르짖는 짐승이 그들의 가옥에 가득하며 타조가 거기에 깃들이며 들양이 거기에서 뛸 것이요

But desert creatures will lie there, jackals will fill her houses; there the owls will dwell, and there the wild goats will leap about.

사13:22 그의 궁성에는 승량이가 부르짖을 것이요 화려하던 궁전에는 들개가 울 것이라 그의 때가 가까우며 그의 날이 오래지 아니하리라

Hyenas will howl in her strongholds, jackals in her luxurious palaces. Her time is at hand, and her days will not be prolonged.

이사야 (Isaiah) 14 장.

Isaiah 14

사14:1 여호와께서 야곱을 긍휼히 여기시며 이스라엘을 다시 택하여 그들의 땅에 두시리니 나그네 된 자가 야곱 족속과 연합하여 그들에게 예속될 것이며

The LORD will have compassion on Jacob; once again he will choose Israel and will settle them in their own land. Aliens will join them and unite with the house of Jacob.

사14:2 민족들이 그들을 데리고 그들의 본토에 돌아오리니 이스라엘 족속이 여호와의 땅에서 그들을 얻어 노비로 삼겠고 전에 자기를 사로잡던 자들를 사로잡고 자기를 압제하던 자들를 주관하리라

Nations will take them and bring them to their own place. And the house of Israel will possess the nations as menservants and maidservants in the LORD'S land. They will make captives of their captors and rule over their oppressors.

사14:3 여호와께서 너를 슬픔과 곤고와 및 너의 수고하는 고역에서 놓으시고 안식을 주시는 날에

On the day the LORD gives you relief from suffering and turmoil and cruel bondage,

사14:4 너는 바벨론 왕에 대하여 이 노래를 지어 이르기를 압제하던 자가 어찌 그리 그쳤으며 강포한 성이 어찌 그리 폐하였는고

you will take up this taunt against the king of Babylon: How the oppressor has come to an end! How his fury has ended!

사14:5 여호와께서 악인의 몽둥이와 통치자의 규를 꺾으셨도다

The LORD has broken the rod of the wicked, the scepter of the rulers,

사14:6 그들이 분내어 여러 민족을 치되 치기를 마지아니하였고 노하여 열방을 억압하여도 그 억압을 막을 자 없었더니

which in anger struck down peoples with unceasing blows, and in fury subdued nations with relentless aggression.

사14:7 이제는 온 땅이 조용하고 평온하니 무리가 소리 높여 노래하는도다

All the lands are at rest and at peace; they break into singing.

사14:8 향나무와 레바논 백향목도 너로 말미암아 기뻐하여 이르기를 네가 넘어져 있은즉 올라와서 우리를 베어 버릴 자 없다 하는도다

Even the pine trees and the cedars of Lebanon exult over you and say, "Now that you have been laid low, no woodsman comes to cut us down."

사14:9 아래의 스올이 너로 말미암아 소동하여 네가 오는 것을 영접하되 그것이 세상의 모든 영웅을 너로 말미암아 움직이게 하며 열방의 모든 왕을 그들의 왕좌에서 일어서게 하므로

The grave below is all astir to meet you at your coming; it rouses the spirits of the departed to greet you--all those who were leaders in the world; it makes them rise from their thrones--all those who were kings over the nations.

사14:10 그들은 다 네게 말하여 이르기를 너도 우리 같이 연약하게 되었느냐 너도 우리 같이 되었느냐 하리로다

They will all respond, they will say to you, "You also have become weak, as we are; you have become like us."

사14:11 네 영화가 스올에 떨어졌음이여 네 비파 소리까지로다 구더기가 네 아래에 깔림이여 지렁이가 너를 덮었도다

All your pomp has been brought down to the grave, along with the noise of your harps; maggots are spread out beneath you and worms cover you.

사14:12 너 아침의 아들 계명성이여 어찌 그리 하늘에서 떨어졌으며 너 열국을 엎은 자여 어찌 그리 땅에 찍혔는고

How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!

사14:13 네가 네 마음에 이르기를 내가 하늘에 올라 하나님의 뭇 별 위에 내가 북극 집회의 산 위에 앉으리라

You said in your heart, "I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain.

사14:14 가장 높은 구름에 올라 지극히 높은 자와 같아지리라 하는도다

I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High."

사14:15 그러나 이제 네가 스올 곧 구덩이 맨 밑에 떨어짐을 당하리로다

But you are brought down to the grave, to the depths of the pit.

사14:16 너를 보는 이가 주목하여 너를 자세히 살펴 보며 말하기를 이 사람이 땅을 진동시키며 열국을 놀라게 하며

Those who see you stare at you, they ponder your fate: "Is this the man who shook the earth and made kingdoms tremble,

사14:17 세계를 황무하게 하며 성읍을 파괴하며 그에게 사로잡힌 자들를 그 집으로 놓아 보내지 아니하던 자가 아니냐 하리로다

the man who made the world a desert, who overthrew its cities and would not let his captives go home?"

사14:18 열방의 모든 왕들은 모두 각각 자기 집에서 영광 중에 자건마는

All the kings of the nations lie in state, each in his own tomb.

사14:19 오직 너는 자기 무덤에서 내쫓겼으니 가증한 나무가지 같고 칼에 찔려 돌구덩이에 떨어진 주검들에 둘려싸였으니 밟힌 시체와 같도다

But you are cast out of your tomb like a rejected branch; you are covered with the slain, with those pierced by the sword, those who descend to the stones of the pit. Like a corpse trampled underfoot,

사14:20 네가 네 땅을 망하게 하였고 네 백성을 죽였으므로 그들과 함게 안장도지 못하나니 악을 행하는 자들의 후손은 영원히 이름이 불려지지 아니하리로다 할지니라

you will not join them in burial, for you have destroyed your land and killed your people. The offspring of the wicked will never be mentioned again.

사14:21 너희는 그들의 조상들의 죄악으로 말미암아 그의 자손 도륙하기를 준비하여 그들이 일어나 땅을 차지하여 세상을 가득하게 하지 못하게 하라

Prepare a place to slaughter his sons for the sins of their forefathers; they are not to rise to inherit the land and cover the earth with their cities.

사14:22 만군의 여호와께서 말씀하시되 내가 일어나 그들을 쳐서 이름과 남은 자와 아들과 후손을 바벨론에서 끊으리라 나 여호와의 말이라

"I will rise up against them," declares the LORD Almighty. "I will cut off from Babylon her name and survivors, her offspring and descendants," declares the LORD.

사14:23 내가 또 그것이 고슴도치의 굴혈과 물 웅덩이가 되게 하고 또 멸망의 빗자루로 청소하리라 나 만군의 여호와의 말이니라 하시니라

"I will turn her into a place for owls and into swampland; I will sweep her with the broom of destruction," declares the LORD Almighty.

사14:24 만군의 여호와께서 맹세하여 이르시되 내가 생각한 것이 반드시 되며 내가 경영한 것을 반드시 이루리라

The LORD Almighty has sworn, "Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will stand.

사14:25 내가 앗수르를 나의 땅에서 파하며 나의 산에서 그것을 짓밟으리니 그 때에 그의 멍에가 이스라엘에게서 떠나고 그의 짐이 그들의 어깨에서 벗어질 것이라

I will crush the Assyrian in my land; on my mountains I will trample him down. His yoke will be taken from my people, and his burden removed from their shoulders."

사14:26 이것이 온 세계를 향하여 정한 경영이며 이것이 열방을 향하여 편 손이라 하셨나니

This is the plan determined for the whole world; this is the hand stretched out over all nations.

사14:27 만군의 여호와께서 경영하셨은즉 누가 능히 그것을 폐하며 그의 손을 펴셨은즉 누가 능히 그것을 돌이키랴

For the LORD Almighty has purposed, and who can thwart him? His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?

사14:28 아하스 왕의 죽던 해에 받은 이 경고가 임하니라

This oracle came in the year King Ahaz died:

사14:29 블레셋 온 땅이여 너를 치던 막대기가 부러졌다고 기뻐하지 말라 뱀의 뿌리에서는 독사가 나겠고 그의 열매는 날아다니는 불뱀이 되리라

Do not rejoice, all you Philistines, that the rod that struck you is broken; from the root of that snake will spring up a viper, its fruit will be a darting, venomous serpent.

사14:30 가난한 자의 장자는 먹겠고 궁핍한 자는 평안히 누우려니와 내가 네 뿌리를 기근으로 죽일 것이요 네게 남은 자는 살륙을 당하리라

The poorest of the poor will find pasture, and the needy will lie down in safety. But your root I will destroy by famine; it will slay your survivors.

사14:31 성문이여 슬피 울지어다 성읍이여 부르짖을지어다 너 블레셋이여 다 소멸되리로다 대저 연기가 북방에서 오는데 그 대열에서 벗어난 자가 없느니라

Wail, O gate! Howl, O city! Melt away, all you Philistines! A cloud of smoke comes from the north, and there is not a straggler in its ranks.

사14:32 그 나라 사신들에게 어떻게 대답하겠느냐 여호와께서 시온을 세우셨으니 그의 백성의 곤고한 자들이 그 안에서 피난하리라 할 것이니라

What answer shall be given to the envoys of that nation? "The LORD has established Zion, and in her his afflicted people will find refuge."

이사야 (Isaiah) 15 장.

Isaiah 15

사15:1 모압에 관한 경고라 하룻 밤에 모압 알이 망하여 황폐할 것이며 하루 밤에 모압 기르가 망하여 황폐할 것이라

An oracle concerning Moab: Ar in Moab is ruined, destroyed in a night! Kir in Moab is ruined, destroyed in a night!

사15:2 그들은 바잇과 디본 산당에 올라가서 울며 모압은 느보와 메드바를 위하여 통곡하도다 그들이 각각 머리카락을 밀고 각각 수염을 깎았으며

Dibon goes up to its temple, to its high places to weep; Moab wails over Nebo and Medeba. Every head is shaved and every beard cut off.

사15:3 거리에서는 굵은 베로 몸을 동였으며 지붕과 넓은 곳에서는 각기 애통하여 심히 울며

In the streets they wear sackcloth; on the roofs and in the public squares they all wail, prostrate with weeping.

사15:4 헤스본과 엘르알레는 부르짖으며 그들의 소리는 야하스까지 들리니 그러므로 모압의 군사들이 크게 부르짖으며 그들의 혼이 속에서 떠는도다

Heshbon and Elealeh cry out, their voices are heard all the way to Jahaz. Therefore the armed men of Moab cry out, and their hearts are faint.

사15:5 내 마음이 모압을 위하여 부르짖는도다 그 피난민들은 소알과 에글랏 슬리시야까지 이르고 울며 루힛 비탈길로 올라가며 호로나임 길에서 패망을 울부짖으니

My heart cries out over Moab; her fugitives flee as far as Zoar, as far as Eglath Shelishiyah. They go up the way to Luhith, weeping as they go; on the road to Horonaim they lament their destruction.

사15:6 니므림 물이 마르고 풀이 시들었으며 연한 풀이 말라 청청한 것이 없음이로다

The waters of Nimrim are dried up and the grass is withered; the vegetation is gone and nothing green is left.

사15:7 그러므로 그들이 얻은 재물과 쌓았던 것을 가지고 버드나무 시내를 건너리니

So the wealth they have acquired and stored up they carry away over the Ravine of the Poplars.

사15:8 이는 곡성이 모압 사방에 둘렸고 슬피 부르짖음이 에글라임에 이르며 부르짖음이 브엘엘림에 미치며

Their outcry echoes along the border of Moab; their wailing reaches as far as Eglaim, their lamentation as far as Beer Elim.

사15:9 디몬 물에는 피가 가득함이로다 그럴지라도 내가 디몬에 재앙을 더 내리되 모압에 도피한 자와 그 땅에 남은 자에게 사자를 보내리라

Dimon's waters are full of blood, but I will bring still more upon Dimon--a lion upon the fugitives of Moab and upon those who remain in the land.

이사야 (Isaiah) 16 장.

Isaiah 16

사16:1 너희는 이 땅 통치자에게 어린 양들을 드리되 셀라에서부터 광야를 지나 딸 시온 산으로 보낼지니라

Send lambs as tribute to the ruler of the land, from Sela, across the desert, to the mount of the Daughter of Zion.

사16:2 모압의 딸들은 아르논 나루에서 떠다니는 새 같고 보금자리에서 흩어진 새 새끼 같을 것이라

Like fluttering birds pushed from the nest, so are the women of Moab at the fords of the Arnon.

사16:3 너는 방도를 베풀며 공의로 판결하며 대낮에 밤 같이 그늘을 지으며 쫓겨난 자들을 숨기며 도망한 자들을 발각되게 하지 말며

"Give us counsel, render a decision. Make your shadow like night--at high noon. Hide the fugitives, do not betray the refugees.

사16:4 나의 쫓겨난 자들이 너와 함께 있게 하되 너 모압은 멸절하는 자 앞에서 그들에게 피할 곳이 되라 대저 토색하는 자가 망하였고 멸절하는 자가 그쳤고 압제하는 자가 이 땅에서 멸절하였으며

Let the Moabite fugitives stay with you; be their shelter from the destroyer." The oppressor will come to an end, and destruction will cease; the aggressor will vanish from the land.

사16:5 다윗의 장막에 인자함으로 왕위가 굳게 설 것이요 그 위에 앉을 자는 충실함으로 판결하며 정의를 구하며 공의를 신속히 행하리라

In love a throne will be established; in faithfulness a man will sit on it--one from the house of David--one who in judging seeks justice and speeds the cause of righteousness.

사16:6 우리가 모압의 교만을 들었나니 심히 교만하도다 그가 거만하며 교만하며 분노함도 들었거니와 그의 자랑이 헛되도다

We have heard of Moab's pride--her overweening pride and conceit, her pride and her insolence--but her boasts are empty.

사16:7 그러므로 모압이 모압을 위하여 통곡하되 다 통곡하며 길하레셋 건포도 떡을 위하여 그들이 슬퍼하며 심히 근심하리니

Therefore the Moabites wail, they wail together for Moab. Lament and grieve for the men of Kir Hareseth.

사16:8 이는 헤스본의 밭과 십마의 포도나무가 말랐음이라 전에는 그 가지가 야셀에 미쳐 광야에 이르고 그 싹이 자라서 바다를 건넜더니 이제 열국의 주권자들이 그 좋은 가지를 꺾었도다

The fields of Heshbon wither, the vines of Sibmah also. The rulers of the nations have trampled down the choicest vines, which once reached Jazer and spread toward the desert. Their shoots spread out and went as far as the sea.

사16:9 그러므로 내가 야셀의 울음처럼 십마의 포도나무를 위하여 울리라 헤스본이여, 엘르알레여, 내 눈물로 너를 적시리니 너의 여름 실과, 네 농작물에 즐거운 소리가 그첬음이라

So I weep, as Jazer weeps, for the vines of Sibmah. O Heshbon, O Elealeh, I drench you with tears! The shouts of joy over your ripened fruit and over your harvests have been stilled.

사16:10 즐거움과 기쁨이 기름진 밭에서 떠났고 포도원에는 노래와 즐거운 소리가 없어지겠고 틀에는 포도를 밟을 사람이 없으리니 이는 내가 즐거운 소리를 그치게 하였음이라

Joy and gladness are taken away from the orchards; no one sings or shouts in the vineyards; no one treads out wine at the presses, for I have put an end to the shouting.

사16:11 이러므로 내 마음이 모압을 위하여 수금 같이 소리를 발하며 내 창자가 길하레셋을 위하여 그러하도다

My heart laments for Moab like a harp, my inmost being for Kir Hareseth.

사16:12 모압이 그 산당에서 피곤하도록 봉사하며 자기 성소에 나아가서 기도할지라도 소용없으리로다

When Moab appears at her high place, she only wears herself out; when she goes to her shrine to pray, it is to no avail.

사16:13 이는 여호와께서 오래 전부터 모압을 들어 하신 말씀이어니와

This is the word the LORD has already spoken concerning Moab.

사16:14 이제 여호와께서 말씀하여 이르시되 품꾼의 정한 해와 같이 삼 년 내에 모압의 영화와 그 큰 무리가 능욕을 당할지라 그 남은 수가 심히 적어 보잘것없이 되리라 하시도다

But now the LORD says: "Within three years, as a servant bound by contract would count them, Moab's splendor and all her many people will be despised, and her survivors will be very few and feeble."
