Isaiah 56

사56:1 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시기를 너희는 정의을 지키며 의를 행하라 이는 나의 구원이 가까이 왔고 나의 공의가 나타날 것임이라 하셨도다

This is what the LORD says: "Maintain justice and do what is right, for my salvation is close at hand and my righteousness will soon be revealed.

사56:2 안식일을 지켜 더럽히지 아니하며 그의 손을 금하여 모든 악을 행하지 아니하여야 하나니 이와 같이 굳게 잡는 사람은 복이 있느니라

Blessed is the man who does this, the man who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil."

사56:3 여호와께 연합한 이방인은 말하기를 여호와께서 나를 그의 백성 중에서 반드시 갈라내시리라 말하지 말며 고자도 나는 마른 나무라 하지 말라

Let no foreigner who has bound himself to the LORD say, "The LORD will surely exclude me from his people." And let not any eunuch complain, "I am only a dry tree."

사56:4 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시기를 나의 안식일을 지키며 내가 기뻐하는 일을 선택하며 나의 언약을 굳게 잡는 고자들에게는

For this is what the LORD says: "To the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths, who choose what pleases me and hold fast to my covenant--

사56:5 내가 내 집에서, 내 성 안에서 아들이나 딸보다 나은 기념물과 이름을 그들에게 주며 영원한 이름을 주어 끊어지지 아니하게 할 것이며

to them I will give within my temple and its walls a memorial and a name better than sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name that will not be cut off.

사56:6 또 여호와와 연합하여 그를 섬기며 여호와의 이름을 사랑하며 그의 종이 되며 안식일을 지켜 더럽히지 아니하며 나의 언약을 굳게 지키는 이방인마다

And foreigners who bind themselves to the LORD to serve him, to love the name of the LORD, and to worship him, all who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it and who hold fast to my covenant--

사56:7 내가 곧 그들을 나의 성산으로 인도하여 기도하는 내 집에서 그들을 기쁘게 할 것이며 그들의 번제와 희생은 나의 제단에서 기꺼이 받게 되리니 이는 내 집은 만민이 기도하는 집이라 일컬음이 될 것임이라

these I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations."

사56:8 이스라엘의 쫓겨난 자를 모으는 주 여호와가 말하노니 내가 이미 모은 백성 외에 또 모아 그에게 속하게 하리라 하셨느니라

The Sovereign LORD declares--he who gathers the exiles of Israel: "I will gather still others to them besides those already gathered."

사56:9 들의 모든 짐승들아 숲 가운데의 모든 짐승들아 와서 먹으라

Come, all you beasts of the field, come and devour, all you beasts of the forest!

사56:10 이스라엘의 파수꾼들은 맹인이요 다 무지하며 벙어리 개들이라 짖지 못하며 다 꿈꾸는 자들이요 누워 있는 자들이요 잠자기를 좋아하는 자들이니

Israel's watchmen are blind, they all lack knowledge; they are all mute dogs, they cannot bark; they lie around and dream, they love to sleep.

사56:11 이 개들은 탐욕이 심하여 족한 줄을 알지 못하는 자들이요 그들은 몰지각한 목자들이라 다 제 길로 돌아가며 사람 마다 자기 이익만 추구하며

They are dogs with mighty appetites; they never have enough. They are shepherds who lack understanding; they all turn to their own way, each seeks his own gain.

사56:12 오라 내가 포도주를 가져오리라 우리가 독주를 잔뜩 마시자 내일도 오늘 같이 또 크게 넘치리라 하느니라

"Come," each one cries, "let me get wine! Let us drink our fill of beer! And tomorrow will be like today, or even far better."

이사야 (Isaiah) 57 장.

Isaiah 57

사57:1 의인이 죽을지라도 마음에 두는 자가 없고 진실한 이들이 거두어 감을 당할지라도 깨닫는 자가 없도다

The righteous perish, and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.

사57:2 의인들은 악한 자들 앞에서 불리어가도다 그들은 평안에 들어갔나니 바른 길로 가는 자들은 그들의 침상에서 편히 쉬리라

Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death.

사57:3 무당의 자식, 간음자와 음녀의 자식들아 너희는 가까이 오라

"But you--come here, you sons of a sorceress, you offspring of adulterers and prostitutes!

사57:4 너희가 누구를 희롱하느냐 누구를 향하여 입을 크게 벌리며 혀를 내미느냐 너희는 패역의 자식, 거짓의 후손이 아니냐

Whom are you mocking? At whom do you sneer and stick out your tongue? Are you not a brood of rebels, the offspring of liars?

사57:5 너희가 상수리나무 사이, 모든 푸른 나무 아래서 음욕을 피우며 골짜기 가운데 바위 틈에서 자녀를 도살하는도다

You burn with lust among the oaks and under every spreading tree; you sacrifice your children in the ravines and under the overhanging crags.

사57:6 골짜기 가운데 매끄러운 돌들 중에 네 몫이 있으니 그것들이 곧 네가 제비 뽑아 얻은 것이라 또한 네가 전제와 예물을 그것들에게 드리니 내가 어찌 위로를 받겠느냐

The idols among the smooth stones of the ravines are your portion; they, they are your lot. Yes, to them you have poured out drink offerings and offered grain offerings. In the light of these things, should I relent?

사57:7 네가 높고 높은 산 위에 네 침상을 베풀었고 네가 또 거기에 올라가서 제사를 드렸으며

You have made your bed on a high and lofty hill; there you went up to offer your sacrifices.

사57:8 네가 또 네 기념표를 문과 문설주 뒤에 두었으며 네가 나를 떠나 벗고 올라가서 네 침상을 넓히고 그들과 언약하며 또 네가 그들의 침상을 사랑하여 그 벌거벗은 것을 보았으며

Behind your doors and your doorposts you have put your pagan symbols. Forsaking me, you uncovered your bed, you climbed into it and opened it wide; you made a pact with those whose beds you love, and you looked on their nakedness.

사57:9 네가 기름을 가지고 몰렉에게 나아가되 향품을 더하였으며 네가 또 사신을 먼 곳에 보내고 스올에까지 내려가게 하였으며

You went to Molech with olive oil and increased your perfumes. You sent your ambassadors far away; you descended to the grave itself!

사57:10 네가 길이 멀어서 피곤할지라도 헛되다 말하지 아니함은 네 힘이 살아났으므로 쇠약하여지지 아니함이라

You were wearied by all your ways, but you would not say, 'It is hopeless.' You found renewal of your strength, and so you did not faint.

사57:11 네가 누구를 두려워하며 누구로 말미암아 놀랐기에 거짓을 말하며 나를 생각하지 아니하며 이를 마음에 두지 아니하였느냐 네가 나를 경외하지 아니함은 내가 오랫동안 잠잠했기 때문이 아니냐

"Whom have you so dreaded and feared that you have been false to me, and have neither remembered me nor pondered this in your hearts? Is it not because I have long been silent that you do not fear me?

사57:12 네 공의를 내가 보이리라 네가 행한 일이 네게 무익하니라

I will expose your righteousness and your works, and they will not benefit you.

사57:13 네가 부르짖을 때에 네가 모은 우상들에게 너를 구원하게 하라 그것들은 다 바람에 날려 가겠고 기운에 불려갈 것이로되 나를 의뢰하는 자는 땅을 차지하겠고 나의 거룩한 산을 기업으로 얻으리라

When you cry out for help, let your collection of idols save you! The wind will carry all of them off, a mere breath will blow them away. But the man who makes me his refuge will inherit the land and possess my holy mountain."

사57:14 그가 말하기를 돋우고 돋우어 길을 수축하여 내 백성의 길에서 거치는 것을 제하여 버리라 하리라

And it will be said: "Build up, build up, prepare the road! Remove the obstacles out of the way of my people."

사57:15 지극히 존귀하며 영원히 거하시며 거룩하다 이름하는 이가 이같이 말씀하시되 내가 높고 거룩한 곳에 있으며 또한 통회하고 마음이 겸손한 자와 함께 있나니 이는 겸손한 자의 영을 소생시키켜 통회하는 자의 마음을 소생시키려 함이라

For this is what the high and lofty One says--he who lives forever, whose name is holy: "I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.

사57:16 내가 영원히 다투지 아니하며 내가 끊임없이 노하지 아니할 것은 내가 지은 그의 영과 혼이 내 앞에서 피곤할까 함이라

I will not accuse forever, nor will I always be angry, for then the spirit of man would grow faint before me--the breath of man that I have created.

사57:17 그의 탐심의 죄악으로 말미암아 내가 노하여 그를 쳤으며 또 내 얼굴을 가리고 노하였으나 그가 아직도 패역하여 자기 마음의 길로 걸어가도다

I was enraged by his sinful greed; I punished him, and hid my face in anger, yet he kept on in his willful ways.

사57:18 내가 그의 길을 보았은즉 그를 고쳐 줄 것이라 그를 인도하며 그와 그를 슬퍼하는 자들에게 위로를 다시 얻게 하리라

I have seen his ways, but I will heal him; I will guide him and restore comfort to him,

사57:19 입술의 열매를 창조하는 자 여호와가 말하노라 먼 데 있는 자에게든지 가까운 데 있는 자에게든지 평강이 있을지어다 평강이 있을지어다 내가 그를 고치리라 하셨느니라

creating praise on the lips of the mourners in Israel. Peace, peace, to those far and near," says the LORD. "And I will heal them."

사57:20 그러나 악인은 평온함을 얻지 못하고 그 물이 진흙과 더러운 것을 늘 솟구쳐 내는 요동하는 바다와 같으니라

But the wicked are like the tossing sea, which cannot rest, whose waves cast up mire and mud.

사57:21 내 하나님의 말씀에 악인에게는 평강이 없다 하셨느니라

"There is no peace," says my God, "for the wicked."

Isaiah 58

사58:1 크게 외치라 목소리를 아끼지 말라 네 목소리를 나팔 같이 높여 내 백성에게 허물을, 야곱의 집에 그들의 죄를 알리라

"Shout it aloud, do not hold back. Raise your voice like a trumpet. Declare to my people their rebellion and to the house of Jacob their sins.

사58:2 그들이 날마다 나를 찾아 나의 길 알기를 즐거워함이 마치 공의를 행하여 그의 하나님의 규례를 버리지 아니하는 나라 같아서 의로운 판단을 내게 구하며 하나님과 가까이 하기를 즐거워하는도다

For day after day they seek me out; they seem eager to know my ways, as if they were a nation that does what is right and has not forsaken the commands of its God. They ask me for just decisions and seem eager for God to come near them.

사58:3 우리가 금식하되 어찌하여 주께서 보지 아니하시오며 우리가 마음을 괴롭게 하되 어찌하여 주께서 알아 주지 아니하시나이까 하느니라 보라 너희가 금식하는 날에 오락을 구하며 온갖 일을 시키는도다

'Why have we fasted,' they say, 'and you have not seen it? Why have we humbled ourselves, and you have not noticed?' "Yet on the day of your fasting, you do as you please and exploit all your workers.

사58:4 보라 너희가 금식하면서 논쟁하며 다투며 악한 주먹으로 치는도다 너희의 오늘 금식하는 것은 너희의 목소리를 상달하게 하려는 것이 아니니라

Your fasting ends in quarreling and strife, and in striking each other with wicked fists. You cannot fast as you do today and expect your voice to be heard on high.

사58:5 이것이 어찌 내가 기뻐하는 금식이 되겠으며 이것이 어찌 사람이 자기의 마음을 괴롭게 하는 날이 되겠느냐 그의 머리를 갈대 같이 숙이고 굵은 베와 재를 펴는 것을 어찌 금식이라 하겠으며 여호와께 열납될 날이라 하겠느냐

Is this the kind of fast I have chosen, only a day for a man to humble himself? Is it only for bowing one's head like a reed and for lying on sackcloth and ashes? Is that what you call a fast, a day acceptable to the LORD?

사58:6 내가 기뻐하는 금식은 흉악의 결박을 풀어 주며 멍에의 줄을 끌러 주며 압제 당하는 자를 자유하게 하며 모든 멍에를 꺾는 것이 아니겠느냐

"Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?

사58:7 또 주린 자에게 네 양식을 나누어 주며 유리하는 빈민을 집에 들이며 헐벗은 자를 보면 입히며 또 네 골육을 피하여 스스로 숨지 아니하는 것이 아니겠느냐

Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter--when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?

사58:8 그리하면 네 빛이 새벽 같이 비췰 것이며 네 치유가 급속할 것이며 네 공의가 네 앞에 행하고 여호와의 영광이 네 뒤에 호위하리니

Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.

사58:9 네가 부를 때에는 나 여호와가 응답하겠고 네가 부르짖을 때에는 내가 여기 있다 하리라 만일 네가 너희 중에서 멍에와 손가락질과 허망한 말을 제하여 버리고

Then you will call, and the LORD will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I. "If you do away with the yoke of oppression, with the pointing finger and malicious talk,

사58:10 주린 자에게 네 심정을 동하며 괴로와하는 자의 심정을 만족하게 하면 네 빛이 흑암 중에서 떠올라 네 어둠이 낮과 같이 될 것이며

and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.

사58:11 여호와가 너를 항상 인도하여 마른 곳에서도 네 영혼을 만족하게 하며 네 뼈를 견고하게 하리니 너는 물 댄 동산 같겠고 물이 끊어지지 아니하는 샘 같을 것이라

The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.

사58:12 네게서 날 자들이 오래 황폐된 곳들을 다시 세울 것이며 너는 역대의 파괴된 기초를 쌓으리니 너를 일컬어 무너진 데를 수보하는 자라 할 것이며 길을 수축하여 거할 곳이 되게 하는 자라 하리라

Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.

사58:13 만일 안식일에 네 발을 금하여 내 성일에 오락을 행하지 아니하고 안식일을 일컬어 즐거운 날이라, 여호와의 성일을 존귀한 날이라 하여 이를 존귀히 여기고 네 길로 행하지 아니하며 네 오락을 구하지 아니하며 사사로운 말을 하지 아니하면

"If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath and from doing as you please on my holy day, if you call the Sabbath a delight and the LORD'S holy day honorable, and if you honor it by not going your own way and not doing as you please or speaking idle words,

사58:14 네가 여호와의 안에서 즐거움을 얻을 것이라 내가 너를 땅의 높은 곳에 올리고 네 조상 야곱의 업으로 기르리라 여호와의 입의 말씀이니라

then you will find your joy in the LORD, and I will cause you to ride on the heights of the land and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob." The mouth of the LORD has spoken.
