2 Samuel 23

삼하23:1 이는 다윗의 마지막 말이라 이새의 아들 다윗이 말함이여 높이 세워진 자, 야곱의 하나님께로부터 기름 부음 받은 자, 이스라엘의 노래 잘하는 자가 말하노라

These are the last words of David: "The oracle of David son of Jesse, the oracle of the man exalted by the Most High, the man anointed by the God of Jacob, Israel's singer of songs:

삼하23:2 여호와의 영이 나를 통하여 말씀하심이여 그의 말씀이 내 혀에 있도다

"The Spirit of the LORD spoke through me; his word was on my tongue.

삼하23:3 이스라엘의 하나님이 말씀하시며 이스라엘의 반석이 내게 이르시기를 사람을 공의로 다스리는자, 하나님을 경외함으로 다스리는 자여

The God of Israel spoke, the Rock of Israel said to me: 'When one rules over men in righteousness, when he rules in the fear of God,

삼하23:4 그는 돋는 해의 아침 빛 같고 구름 없는 아침 같고 비 내린 후의 광선으로 땅에서 움이 돋는 새 풀 같으니라 하시도다

he is like the light of morning at sunrise on a cloudless morning, like the brightness after rain that brings the grass from the earth.'

삼하23:5 내 집이 하나님 앞에 이같지 아니하냐 하나님이 나와 더불어 영원한 언약을 세우사 만사에 구비하고 견고하게 하셨으니 나의 모든 구원과 나의 모든 소원을 어찌 이루지 아니하시랴

"Is not my house right with God? Has he not made with me an everlasting covenant, arranged and secured in every part? Will he not bring to fruition my salvation and grant me my every desire?

삼하23:6 그러나 사악한 자는 다 내버려질 가시나무 같으니 이는 손으로 잡을 수 없음이로다

But evil men are all to be cast aside like thorns, which are not gathered with the hand.

삼하23:7 그것들을 만지는 자는 철과 창자루를 가져야 하리니 그것들이 당장에 불살리리로다 하니라

Whoever touches thorns uses a tool of iron or the shaft of a spear; they are burned up where they lie."

삼하23:8 다윗의 용사들의 이름은 이러하니라 다그몬 사람 요셉밧세벳라고도 하고 에센 사람 아디노라고도 하는 자는 군지휘관의 두목이라 그가 단번에 팔백 명을 쳐죽였더라

These are the names of David's mighty men: Josheb-Basshebeth, a Tahkemonite, was chief of the Three; he raised his spear against eight hundred men, whom he killed in one encounter.

삼하23:9 그 다음은 아호아 사람 도대의 아들 엘르아살이니 다윗과 함께 한 세 용사 중의 한 사람이라 블레셋 사람들이 싸우려고 거기에 모이매 이스라엘 사람들이 물러간지라 세 용사가 싸움을 돋우고

Next to him was Eleazar son of Dodai the Ahohite. As one of the three mighty men, he was with David when they taunted the Philistines gathered at Pas Dammim for battle. Then the men of Israel retreated,

삼하23:10 그가 나가서 손이 피곤하여 그의 손이 칼에 붙기까지 블레셋 사람을 치니라 그 날에 여호와께서 크게 이기게 하셨으므로 백성들은 돌아와 그의 뒤를 따라가며 노략할 뿐이었더라

but he stood his ground and struck down the Philistines till his hand grew tired and froze to the sword. The LORD brought about a great victory that day. The troops returned to Eleazar, but only to strip the dead.

삼하23:11 그 다음은 하랄 사람 아게의 아들 삼마라 블레셋 사람들이 사기가 올라 거기 녹두나무가 가득한 한쪽 밭에 모이매 백성들은 블레셋 사람들 앞에서 도망하되

Next to him was Shammah son of Agee the Hararite. When the Philistines banded together at a place where there was a field full of lentils, Israel's troops fled from them.

삼하23:12 그는 그 밭 가운데 서서 막아 블레셋 사람들을 친지라 여호와께서 큰 구원을 이루시니라

But Shammah took his stand in the middle of the field. He defended it and struck the Philistines down, and the LORD brought about a great victory.

삼하23:13 또 삼십 두목 중 세 사람이 곡식 벨 때에 아둘람 굴에 내려가 다윗에게 나아갔는데 때에 블레셋 사람의 한 무리가 르바임 골짜기에 진 쳤더라

During harvest time, three of the thirty chief men came down to David at the cave of Adullam, while a band of Philistines was encamped in the Valley of Rephaim.

삼하23:14 그 때에 다윗은 산성에 있고 그 때에 블레셋 사람의 요새는 베들레헴에 있는지라

At that time David was in the stronghold, and the Philistine garrison was at Bethlehem.

삼하23:15 다윗이 소원하여 이르되 베들레헴 성문 곁 우물 물을 누가 내게 마시게 할까 하매

David longed for water and said, "Oh, that someone would get me a drink of water from the well near the gate of Bethlehem!"

삼하23:16 세 용사가 블레셋 사람의 진영을 돌파하고 지나가서 베들레헴 성문 곁 우물 물을 길어 가지고 다윗에게로 왔으나 다윗이 마시기를 기뻐하지 아니하고 그 물을 여호와께 부어드리며

So the three mighty men broke through the Philistine lines, drew water from the well near the gate of Bethlehem and carried it back to David. But he refused to drink it; instead, he poured it out before the LORD.

삼하23:17 이르되 여호와여 내가 나를 위하여 결단코 이런 일을 하지 아니하리이다 이는 목숨을 걸고 갔던 사람들의 피가 아니니이까 하고 마시기를 즐겨하지 아니하니라 세 용사가 이런 일을 행하였더라

"Far be it from me, O LORD, to do this!" he said. "Is it not the blood of men who went at the risk of their lives?" And David would not drink it. Such were the exploits of the three mighty men.

삼하23:18 또 스루야의 아들 요압의 아우 아비새이니 그는 그 세 사람의 우두머리라 그가 그의 창을 들어 삼백 명을 죽이고 세 사람 중에 이름을 얻었으니

Abishai the brother of Joab son of Zeruiah was chief of the Three. He raised his spear against three hundred men, whom he killed, and so he became as famous as the Three.

삼하23:19 그는 세 사람 중에 가장 존귀한 자가 아니냐 그가 그들의 우두머리가 되었으나 그러나 첫 세 사람에게는 미치지 못하였더라

Was he not held in greater honor than the Three? He became their commander, even though he was not included among them.

삼하23:20 또 갑스엘 용사의 손자 여호야다의 아들 브나야이니 그는 용맹스런 일을 행한 자라 일찍이 모압 아리엘의 아들 둘을 죽였고 또 눈이 올 때에 구덩이에 내려가서 사자 한 마리를 쳐죽였으며

Benaiah son of Jehoiada was a valiant fighter from Kabzeel, who performed great exploits. He struck down two of Moab's best men. He also went down into a pit on a snowy day and killed a lion.

삼하23:21 또 장대한 애굽 사람을 죽였는데 그의 손에 창이 있어도 그가 막대기를 가지고 내려가 그 애굽 사람의 손에서 창을 빼앗아 그 창으로 그를 죽였더라

And he struck down a huge Egyptian. Although the Egyptian had a spear in his hand, Benaiah went against him with a club. He snatched the spear from the Egyptian's hand and killed him with his own spear.

삼하23:22 여호야다의 아들 브나야가 이런 일을 행하였으므로 세 용사 중에 이름을 얻고

Such were the exploits of Benaiah son of Jehoiada; he too was as famous as the three mighty men.

삼하23:23 삼십 명보다 존귀하나 그러나 세 사람에게는 미치지 못하였더라 다윗이 그를 세워 시위대 대장을 삼았더라

He was held in greater honor than any of the Thirty, but he was not included among the Three. And David put him in charge of his bodyguard.

삼하23:24 요압의 아우 아사헬은 삼십 명 중의 하나요 또 베들레헴 도도의 아들 엘하난과

Among the Thirty were: Asahel the brother of Joab, Elhanan son of Dodo from Bethlehem,

삼하23:25 하롯 사람 삼훗과 하롯 사람 엘리가와

Shammah the Harodite, Elika the Harodite,

삼하23:26 발디 사람 헬레스와 드고아 사람 익게스의 아들 이라와

Helez the Paltite, Ira son of Ikkesh from Tekoa,

삼하23:27 아나돗 사람 아비에셀과 후사 사람 므분내와

Abiezer from Anathoth, Mebunnai the Hushathite,

삼하23:28 아호아 사람 살몬과 느도바 사람 마하래와

Zalmon the Ahohite, Maharai the Netophathite,

삼하23:29 느도바 사람 바아나의 아들 헬렙과 베냐민 자손에 속한 기브아 사람 리배의 아들 잇대와

Heled son of Baanah the Netophathite, Ithai son of Ribai from Gibeah in Benjamin,

삼하23:30 비라돈 사람 브나야와 가아스 시냇가에 사는 힛대와

Benaiah the Pirathonite, Hiddai from the ravines of Gaash,

삼하23:31 아르바 사람 아비알본과 바르훔 사람 아스마웻과

Abi-Albon the Arbathite, Azmaveth the Barhumite,

삼하23:32 사알본 사람 엘리아바와 야센의 아들 요나단과

Eliahba the Shaalbonite, the sons of Jashen, Jonathan

삼하23:33 하랄 사람 삼마와 아랄 사람 사랄의 아들 아히암과

son of Shammah the Hararite, Ahiam son of Sharar the Hararite,

삼하23:34 마아가 사람의 손자 아하스배의 아들 엘리벨렛과 길로 사람 아히도벨의 아들 엘리암과

Eliphelet son of Ahasbai the Maacathite, Eliam son of Ahithophel the Gilonite,

삼하23:35 갈멜 사람 헤스래와 아랍 사람 바아래와

Hezro the Carmelite, Paarai the Arbite,

삼하23:36 소바나단의 아들 이갈과 갓 사람 바니와

Igal son of Nathan from Zobah, the son of Hagri,

삼하23:37 암몬 사람 셀렉과 스루야의 아들 요압의 무기를 잡은 자 브에롯 사람 나하래와

Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Beerothite, the armor-bearer of Joab son of Zeruiah,

삼하23:38 이델 사람 이라와 이델 사람 가렙과

Ira the Ithrite, Gareb the Ithrite

삼하23:39 헷 사람 우리아라 이상 총수가 삼십칠 명이었더라

and Uriah the Hittite. There were thirty-seven in all.

사무엘하 (2 Samuel) 24 장.

2 Samuel 24

삼하24:1 여호와께서 다시 이스라엘을 향하여 진노하사 그들을 치시려고 다윗을 격동시키사 가서 이스라엘과 유다의 인구를 조사하라 하신지라

Again the anger of the LORD burned against Israel, and he incited David against them, saying, "Go and take a census of Israel and Judah."

삼하24:2 이에 왕이 그 곁에 있는 군사령관 요압에게 이르되 너는 이스라엘 모든 지파 가운데로 다니며 이제 단에서부터 브엘세바까지 인구를 조사하여 백성의 수를 내게 보고하라 하니

So the king said to Joab and the army commanders with him, "Go throughout the tribes of Israel from Dan to Beersheba and enroll the fighting men, so that I may know how many there are."

삼하24:3 요압이 왕께 아뢰되 이 백성이 얼마든지 왕의 하나님 여호와께서 백 배나 더하게 하사 내 주 왕의 눈으로 보게 하시기를 원하나이다 그런데 내 주 왕은 어찌하여 이런 일을 기뻐하시나이까 하되

But Joab replied to the king, "May the LORD your God multiply the troops a hundred times over, and may the eyes of my lord the king see it. But why does my lord the king want to do such a thing?"

삼하24:4 왕의 명령이 요압과 군대 사령관들을 재촉한지라 요압과 사령관들이 이스라엘 인구를 조사하려고 왕 앞에서 물러나

The king's word, however, overruled Joab and the army commanders; so they left the presence of the king to enroll the fighting men of Israel.

삼하24:5 요단을 건너 갓 골짜기 가운데 성읍 아로엘 오른쪽 곧 야셀 맞은쪽에 이르러 장막을 치고

After crossing the Jordan, they camped near Aroer, south of the town in the gorge, and then went through Gad and on to Jazer.

삼하24:6 길르앗에 이르고 닷딤홋시 땅에 이르고 또 다냐안에 이르러서는 시돈으로 돌아

They went to Gilead and the region of Tahtim Hodshi, and on to Dan Jaan and around toward Sidon.

삼하24:7 두로 견고한 성에 이르고 히위 사람과 가나안 사람의 모든 성읍에 이르고 유다 남쪽으로 나와 브엘세바에 이르니라

Then they went toward the fortress of Tyre and all the towns of the Hivites and Canaanites. Finally, they went on to Beersheba in the Negev of Judah.

삼하24:8 그들 무리가 국내를 두루 돌아 아홉 달 스무 날 만에 예루살렘에 이르러

After they had gone through the entire land, they came back to Jerusalem at the end of nine months and twenty days.

삼하24:9 요압이 백성의 수를 왕께 보고 하니 곧 이스라엘에서 칼을 빼는 담대한 자가 팔십만 명이요 유다 사람이 오십만 명이었더라

Joab reported the number of the fighting men to the king: In Israel there were eight hundred thousand able-bodied men who could handle a sword, and in Judah five hundred thousand.

삼하24:10 다윗이 백성을 조사한 후에 그의 마음에 자책하고 다윗이 여호와께 아뢰되 내가 이 일을 행함으로 큰 죄를 범하였나이다 여호와여 이제 간구하옵나니 종의 죄를 사하여 주옵소서 내가 심히 미련하게 행하였나이다 하니라

David was conscience-stricken after he had counted the fighting men, and he said to the LORD, "I have sinned greatly in what I have done. Now, O LORD, I beg you, take away the guilt of your servant. I have done a very foolish thing."

삼하24:11 다윗이 아침에 일어날 때에 여호와의 말씀이 다윗의 선견자 된 선지자 갓에게 임하여 이르시되

Before David got up the next morning, the word of the LORD had come to Gad the prophet, David's seer:

삼하24:12 가서 다윗에게 말하기를 여호와께서 이와 같이 말씀하시기를 내가 네게 세 가지를 보이노니 너를 위하여 너는 그 중에서 하나를 택하라 내가 그것을 네게 행하리라 하셨다 하라 하시니

"Go and tell David, 'This is what the LORD says: I am giving you three options. Choose one of them for me to carry out against you.'"

삼하24:13 갓이 다윗에게 이르러 아뢰어 이르되 왕의 땅에 칠 년 기근이 있을 것이니이까 혹은 왕이 왕의 원수에게 쫓겨 석 달 동안 그들 앞에서 도망하실 것이니이까 혹은 왕의 땅에 사흘 동안 전염병이 있을 것이니이까 왕은 생각하여 보고 나를 보내신 이에게 무엇을 대답하게 하소서 하는지라

So Gad went to David and said to him, "Shall there come upon you three years of famine in your land? Or three months of fleeing from your enemies while they pursue you? Or three days of plague in your land? Now then, think it over and decide how I should answer the one who sent me."

삼하24:14 다윗이 갓에게 이르되 내가 고통 중에 있도다 청하건대 여호와께서는 긍휼이 크시니 우리가 여호와의 손에 빠지고 내가 사람의 손에 빠지지 아니하기를 원하노라 하는지라

David said to Gad, "I am in deep distress. Let us fall into the hands of the LORD, for his mercy is great; but do not let me fall into the hands of men."

삼하24:15 이에 여호와께서 그 아침부터 정하신 때까지 전염병을 이스라엘에게 내리시니 단에서부터 브엘세바까지 백성의 죽은 자가 칠만 명이라

So the LORD sent a plague on Israel from that morning until the end of the time designated, and seventy thousand of the people from Dan to Beersheba died.

삼하24:16 천사가 예루살렘을 향하여 그의 손을 들어 멸하려 하더니 여호와께서 이 재앙 내리심을 뉘우치사 백성을 멸하는 천사에게 이르시되 족하다 이제는 네 손을 거두라 하시니 여호와의 사자가 여부스 사람 아라우나의 타작 마당 곁에 있는지라

When the angel stretched out his hand to destroy Jerusalem, the LORD was grieved because of the calamity and said to the angel who was afflicting the people, "Enough! Withdraw your hand." The angel of the LORD was then at the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

삼하24:17 다윗이 백성을 치는 천사를 보고 곧 여호와께 아뢰어 이르되 나는 범죄하였고 악을 행하였거니와 이 양 무리는 무엇을 행하였나이까 청하건대 주의 손으로 나와 내 아버지의 집을 치소서 하니라

When David saw the angel who was striking down the people, he said to the LORD, "I am the one who has sinned and done wrong. These are but sheep. What have they done? Let your hand fall upon me and my family."

삼하24:18 이 날에 갓이 다윗에게 이르러 그에게 아뢰되 올라가서 여부스 사람 아라우나의 타작 마당에서 여호와를 위하여 제단을 쌓으소서 하매

On that day Gad went to David and said to him, "Go up and build an altar to the LORD on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite."

삼하24:19 다윗이 여호와께서 명령하신 바 갓의 말대로 올라가니라

So David went up, as the LORD had commanded through Gad.

삼하24:20 아라우나가 바라보다가 왕과 그의 부하들이 자기를 향하여 건너옴을 보고 나가서 왕 앞에서 얼굴을 땅에 대고 절하며

When Araunah looked and saw the king and his men coming toward him, he went out and bowed down before the king with his face to the ground.

삼하24:21 이르되 어찌하여 내 주 왕께서 종에게 임하시나이까 하니 다윗이 이르되 네게서 타작 마당을 사서 여호와께 제단을 쌓아 백성에게 내리는 재앙을 그치게 하려 함이라 하는지라

Araunah said, "Why has my lord the king come to his servant?" "To buy your threshing floor," David answered, "so I can build an altar to the LORD, that the plague on the people may be stopped."

삼하24:22 아라우나가 다윗에게 아뢰되 원하건대 내 주 왕은 좋게 여기시는 대로 취하여 드리소서 번제에 대하여는 소가 있고 땔 나무에 대하여는 마당질 하는 도구와 소의 멍에가 있나이다

Araunah said to David, "Let my lord the king take whatever pleases him and offer it up. Here are oxen for the burnt offering, and here are threshing sledges and ox yokes for the wood.

삼하24:23 왕이여 아라우나가 이것을 다 왕께 드리나이다 하고 또 왕께 아뢰되 왕의 하나님 여호와께서 왕을 기쁘게 받으시기를 원하나이다

O king, Araunah gives all this to the king." Araunah also said to him, "May the LORD your God accept you."

삼하24:24 왕이 아라우나에게 이르되 그렇지 아니하다 내가 값을 주고 네게서 사리라 값 없이는 내 하나님 여호와께 번제를 드리지 아니하리라 하고 다윗이 은 오십 세겔로 타작 마당과 소를 사고

But the king replied to Araunah, "No, I insist on paying you for it. I will not sacrifice to the LORD my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing." So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen and paid fifty shekels of silver for them.

삼하24:25 그 곳에서 여호와를 위하여 제단을 쌓고 번제와 화목제를 드렸더니 이에 여호와께서 그 땅을 위한 기도를 들으시매 이스라엘에게 내리는 재앙이 그쳤더라
