왕상5:5 여호와께서 내 아버지 다윗에게 하신 말씀에 내가 너를 이어 네 자리에 오르게 할 네 아들 그가 내 이름을 위하여 성전을 건축하리라 하신 대로 내가 내 하나님 여호와의 이름을 위하여 성전을 건축하려 하오니
I intend, therefore, to build a temple for the Name of the LORD my God, as the LORD told my father David, when he said, 'Your son whom I will put on the throne in your place will build the temple for my Name.'
왕상5:6 당신은 명령을 내려 나를 위하여 레바논에서 백향목을 베어내게 하소서 내 종과 당신의 종이 함께 할 것이요 또 내가 당신의 모든 말씀대로 당신의 종의 삯을 당신에게 드리리이다 당신도 알거니와 우리 중에는 시돈 사람처럼 벌목을 잘하는 자가 없나이다
"So give orders that cedars of Lebanon be cut for me. My men will work with yours, and I will pay you for your men whatever wages you set. You know that we have no one so skilled in felling timber as the Sidonians."
왕상5:7 히람이 솔로몬의 말을 듣고 크게 기뻐하여 이르되 오늘 여호와를 찬양할지로다 그가 다윗에게 지혜로운 아들을 주사 그 많은 백성을 다스리게 하셨도다 하고
When Hiram heard Solomon's message, he was greatly pleased and said, "Praise be to the LORD today, for he has given David a wise son to rule over this great nation."
왕상5:8 이에 솔로몬에게 사람을 보내어 이르되 당신이 사람을 보내어 하신 말씀을 내가 들었거니와 내 백향목 재목과 잣나무 재목에 대하여는 당신이 바라시는 대로 할지라
So Hiram sent word to Solomon: "I have received the message you sent me and will do all you want in providing the cedar and pine logs.
왕상5:9 내 종이 레바논에서 바다로 운반하겠고 내가 그것을 바다에서 뗏목으로 엮어 당신이 지정하는 곳으로 보내고 거기서 그것을 풀리니 당신은 받으시고 내 원을 이루어 나의 궁정을 위하여 음식물을 주소서 하고
My men will haul them down from Lebanon to the sea, and I will float them in rafts by sea to the place you specify. There I will separate them and you can take them away. And you are to grant my wish by providing food for my royal household."
왕상5:10 솔로몬의 모든 원대로 백향목 재목과 잣나무 재목을 주매
In this way Hiram kept Solomon supplied with all the cedar and pine logs he wanted,
왕상5:11 솔로몬이 히람에게 그의 궁정의 음식물로 밀 이만 고르와 맑은 기름 이십 고르를 주고 해마다 그와 같이 주었더라
and Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand cors of wheat as food for his household, in addition to twenty thousand baths of pressed olive oil. Solomon continued to do this for Hiram year after year.
왕상5:12 여호와께서 그의 말씀대로 솔로몬에게 지혜를 주신 고로 히람과 솔로몬이 친목하여 두 사람이 함께 약조를 맺었더라
The LORD gave Solomon wisdom, just as he had promised him. There were peaceful relations between Hiram and Solomon, and the two of them made a treaty.
왕상5:13 이에 솔로몬 왕이 온 이스라엘 가운데서 역군을 불러일으키니 그 역군의 수가 삼만 명이라
King Solomon conscripted laborers from all Israel--thirty thousand men.
왕상5:14 솔로몬이 그들을 한 달에 만 명씩 번갈아 레바논으로 보내매 그들이 한 달은 레바논에 있고 두 달은 집에 있으며 아도니람은 감독이 되었고
He sent them off to Lebanon in shifts of ten thousand a month, so that they spent one month in Lebanon and two months at home. Adoniram was in charge of the forced labor.
왕상5:15 솔로몬에게 또 짐꾼이 칠만 명이요 산에서 돌을 뜨는 자가 팔만 명이며
Solomon had seventy thousand carriers and eighty thousand stonecutters in the hills,
왕상5:16 이 외에 그 사역을 감독하는 관리가 삼천삼백 명이라 그들이 일하는 백성을 거느렸더라
as well as thirty-three hundred foremen who supervised the project and directed the workmen.
왕상5:17 이에 왕이 명령을 내려 크고 귀한 돌을 떠다가 다듬어서 성전의 기초석으로 놓게 하매
At the king's command they removed from the quarry large blocks of quality stone to provide a foundation of dressed stone for the temple.
왕상5:18 솔로몬의 건축자와 히람의 건축자와 그발 사람이 그 돌을 다듬고 성전을 건축하기 위하여 재목과 돌들을 갖추니라
The craftsmen of Solomon and Hiram and the men of Gebal cut and prepared the timber and stone for the building of the temple.

1 Kings 6
왕상6:1 이스라엘 자손이 애굽 땅에서 나온 지 사백팔십 년이요 솔로몬이 이스라엘 왕이 된 지 사 년 시브월 곧 둘째 달에 솔로몬이 여호와를 위하여 성전 건축하기를 시작하였더라
In the four hundred and eightieth year after the Israelites had come out of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, the second month, he began to build the temple of the LORD.
왕상6:2 솔로몬 왕이 여호와를 위하여 건축한 성전은 길이가 육십 규빗이요 너비가 이십 규빗이요 높이가 삼십 규빗이며
The temple that King Solomon built for the LORD was sixty cubits long, twenty wide and thirty high.
왕상6:3 성전의 성소 앞 주랑의 길이는 성전의 너비와 같이 이십 규빗이요 그 너비는 성전 앞에서부터 십 규빗이며
The portico at the front of the main hall of the temple extended the width of the temple, that is twenty cubits, and projected ten cubits from the front of the temple.
왕상6:4 성전을 위하여 창틀 있는 붙박이 창문을 내고
He made narrow clerestory windows in the temple.
왕상6:5 또 성전의 벽 곧 성소와 지성소의 벽 곧 성소와 지성소의 벽에 연접하여 돌아가며 다락들을 건축하되 다락마다 돌아가며 골방들을 만들었으니
Against the walls of the main hall and inner sanctuary he built a structure around the building, in which there were side rooms.
왕상6:6 하층 다락의 너비는 다섯 규빗이요 중층 다락의 너비는 여섯 규빗이요 셋째 층 다락의 너비는 일곱 규빗이라 성전의 벽 바깥으로 돌아가며 턱을 내어 골방 들보들로 성전의 벽에 박히지 아니하게 하였으며
The lowest floor was five cubits wide, the middle floor six cubits and the third floor seven. He made offset ledges around the outside of the temple so that nothing would be inserted into the temple walls.
왕상6:7 이 성전은 건축할 때에 돌을 그 뜨는 곳에서 다듬고 가져다가 건축하였으므로 건축하는 동안에 성전 속에서는 방망이나 도끼나 모든 철 연장 소리가 들리지 아니하였으며
In building the temple, only blocks dressed at the quarry were used, and no hammer, chisel or any other iron tool was heard at the temple site while it was being built.
왕상6:8 중층 골방의 문은 성전 오른쪽에 있는데 나사 모양 층계로 말미암아 하층에서 중층에 오르고 중층에서 셋째 층에 오르게 하였더라
The entrance to the lowest floor was on the south side of the temple; a stairway led up to the middle level and from there to the third.
왕상6:9 성전의 건축을 마치니라 그 성전은 백향목 서까래와 널판으로 덮었고
So he built the temple and completed it, roofing it with beams and cedar planks.
왕상6:10 또 온 성전으로 돌아가며 높이가 다섯 규빗 되는 다락방을 건축하되 백향목 들보로 성전에 연접하게 하였더라
And he built the side rooms all along the temple. The height of each was five cubits, and they were attached to the temple by beams of cedar.
왕상6:11 여호와의 말씀이 솔로몬에게 임하여 이르시되
The word of the LORD came to Solomon:
왕상6:12 네가 지금 이 성전을 건축하니 네가 만일 내 법도를 따르며 내 율례를 행하며 내 모든 계명을 지켜 그대로 행하면 내가 네 아버지 다윗에게 한 말을 네게 확실히 이룰 것이요
"As for this temple you are building, if you follow my decrees, carry out my regulations and keep all my commands and obey them, I will fulfill through you the promise I gave to David your father.
왕상6:13 내가 또한 이스라엘 자손 가운데 거하며 내 백성 이스라엘을 버리지 아니하리라 하셨더라
And I will live among the Israelites and will not abandon my people Israel."
왕상6:14 솔로몬이 성전 건축하기를 마치고
So Solomon built the temple and completed it.
왕상6:15 백향목 널판으로 성전의 안벽 곧 성전 마루에서 천장까지의 벽에 입히고 또 잣나무 널판으로 성전 마루를 놓고
He lined its interior walls with cedar boards, paneling them from the floor of the temple to the ceiling, and covered the floor of the temple with planks of pine.
왕상6:16 또 성전 뒤쪽에서부터 이십 규빗 되는 곳에 마루에서 천장까지 백향목 널판으로 가로막아 성전의 내소 곧 지성소를 만들었으며
He partitioned off twenty cubits at the rear of the temple with cedar boards from floor to ceiling to form within the temple an inner sanctuary, the Most Holy Place.
왕상6:17 내소 앞에 있는 외소 곧 성소의 길이가 사십 규빗이며
The main hall in front of this room was forty cubits long.
왕상6:18 성전 안에 입힌 백향목에는 박과 핀 꽃을 아로새겼고 모두 백향목이라 돌이 보이지 아니하며
The inside of the temple was cedar, carved with gourds and open flowers. Everything was cedar; no stone was to be seen.
왕상6:19 여호와의 언약궤를 두기 위하여 성전 안에 내소를 마련하였는데
He prepared the inner sanctuary within the temple to set the ark of the covenant of the LORD there.
왕상6:20 그 내소의 안은 길이가 이십 규빗이요 너비가 이십 규빗이요 높이가 이십 규빗이라 정금으로 입혔고 백향목 제단에도 입혔더라
The inner sanctuary was twenty cubits long, twenty wide and twenty high. He overlaid the inside with pure gold, and he also overlaid the altar of cedar.
왕상6:21 솔로몬이 정금으로 외소 안에 입히고 내소 앞에 금사슬로 건너지르고 내소를 금으로 입히고
Solomon covered the inside of the temple with pure gold, and he extended gold chains across the front of the inner sanctuary, which was overlaid with gold.
왕상6:22 온 성전을 금으로 입히기를 마치고 내소에 속한 제단의 전부를 금으로 입혔더라
So he overlaid the whole interior with gold. He also overlaid with gold the altar that belonged to the inner sanctuary.
왕상6:23 내소 안에 감람나무로 두 그룹을 만들었는데 그 높이가 각각 십 규빗이라
In the inner sanctuary he made a pair of cherubim of olive wood, each ten cubits high.
왕상6:24 한 그룹의 이쪽 날개도 다섯 규빗이요 저쪽 날개도 다섯 규빗이니 이쪽 날개 끝으로부터 저쪽 날개 끝까지 십 규빗이며
One wing of the first cherub was five cubits long, and the other wing five cubits--ten cubits from wing tip to wing tip.
왕상6:25 다른 그룹도 십 규빗이니 그 두 그룹은 같은 크기와 같은 모양이요
The second cherub also measured ten cubits, for the two cherubim were identical in size and shape.
왕상6:26 이 그룹의 높이가 십 규빗이요 저 그룹도 같았더라
The height of each cherub was ten cubits.
왕상6:27 솔로몬이 내소 가운데에 그룹을 두었으니 그룹들의 날개가 퍼져 있는데 이쪽 그룹의 날개는 이쪽 벽에 닿았고 저쪽 그룹의 날개는 저쪽 벽에 닿았으며 두 날개는 성전의 중앙에서 서로 닿았더라
He placed the cherubim inside the innermost room of the temple, with their wings spread out. The wing of one cherub touched one wall, while the wing of the other touched the other wall, and their wings touched each other in the middle of the room.
왕상6:28 그가 금으로 그룹을 입혔더라
He overlaid the cherubim with gold.
왕상6:29 내 외소 사방 벽에는 모두 그룹들과 종려와 핀 꽃 형상을 아로새겼고
On the walls all around the temple, in both the inner and outer rooms, he carved cherubim, palm trees and open flowers.
왕상6:30 내외 성전 마루에는 금으로 입혔으며
He also covered the floors of both the inner and outer rooms of the temple with gold.
왕상6:31 내소에 들어가는 곳에는 감림나무로 문을 만들었는데 그 문인방과 문설주는 벽의 오분의 일이요
For the entrance of the inner sanctuary he made doors of olive wood with five-sided jambs.
왕상6:32 감람나무로 만든 그 두 문짝에 그룹과 종려와 핀 꽃을 아로새기고 금으로 입히되 곧 그룹들과 종려에 금으로 입혔더라
And on the two olive wood doors he carved cherubim, palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid the cherubim and palm trees with beaten gold.
왕상6:33 또 외소의 문을 위하여 감람나무로 문설주를 만들었으니 곧 벽의 사분의 일이며
In the same way he made four-sided jambs of olive wood for the entrance to the main hall.
왕상6:34 그 두 문짝은 잣나무라 이쪽 문짝도 두 짝으로 접게 되었고 저쪽 문짝도 두 짝으로 접게 되었으며
He also made two pine doors, each having two leaves that turned in sockets.
왕상6:35 그 문짝에 그룹들과 종려와 핀 꽃을 아로새기고 금으로 입히되 그 새긴 데에 맞게 하였고
He carved cherubim, palm trees and open flowers on them and overlaid them with gold hammered evenly over the carvings.
왕상6:36 또 다듬은 돌 세 켜와 백향목 두꺼운 판자 한 켜로 둘러 안뜰을 만들었더라
And he built the inner courtyard of three courses of dressed stone and one course of trimmed cedar beams.
왕상6:37 넷째 해 시브월에 여호와의 성전 기초를 쌓았고
The foundation of the temple of the LORD was laid in the fourth year, in the month of Ziv.
왕상6:38 열한째 해 불월 곧 여덟째 달에 그 설계와 식양대로 성전 건축이 다 끝났으니 솔로몬이 칠 년 동안 성전을 건축하였더라
In the eleventh year in the month of Bul, the eighth month, the temple was finished in all its details according to its specifications. He had spent seven years building it.
열왕기상 (1 Kings) 7 장.
1 Kings 7
왕상7:1 솔로몬이 자기의 왕궁을 십삼 년 동안 건축하여 그 전부를 준공하니라
It took Solomon thirteen years, however, to complete the construction of his palace.
왕상7:2 그가 레바논 나무로 왕궁을 지었으니 길이가 백 규빗이요 너비가 오십 규빗이요 높이가 삼십 규빗이라 백향목 기둥이 네 줄이요 기둥 위에 백향목 들보가 있으며
He built the Palace of the Forest of Lebanon a hundred cubits long, fifty wide and thirty high, with four rows of cedar columns supporting trimmed cedar beams.
왕상7:3 기둥 위에 있는 들보 사십오 개를 백향목으로 덮었는데 들보는 한 줄에 열 다섯이요
It was roofed with cedar above the beams that rested on the columns--forty-five beams, fifteen to a row.
왕상7:4 또 창틀이 세 줄로 있는데 창과 창이 세 층으로 서로 마주 대하였고
Its windows were placed high in sets of three, facing each other.
왕상7:5 모든 문과 문설주를 다 큰 나무로 네모지게 만들었는데 창과 창이 세 층으로 서로 마주 대하였으며
All the doorways had rectangular frames; they were in the front part in sets of three, facing each other.
왕상7:6 또 기둥을 세워 주랑을 지었으니 길이가 오십 규빗이요 너비가 삼십 규빗이며 또 기둥 앞에 한 주랑이 있고 또 그 앞에 기둥과 섬돌이 있으며
He made a colonnade fifty cubits long and thirty wide. In front of it was a portico, and in front of that were pillars and an overhanging roof.
왕상7:7 또 심판하기 위하여 보좌의 주랑 곧 재판하는 주랑을 짓고 온 마루를 백향목으로 덮었고
He built the throne hall, the Hall of Justice, where he was to judge, and he covered it with cedar from floor to ceiling.
왕상7:8 솔로몬이 거처할 왕궁은 그 주랑 뒤 다른 뜰에 있으니 그 양식이 동일하며 솔로몬이 또 그가 장가 든 바로의 딸을 위하여 집을 지었는데 이 주랑과 같더라
And the palace in which he was to live, set farther back, was similar in design. Solomon also made a palace like this hall for Pharaoh's daughter, whom he had married.
왕상7:9 이 집들은 안팎을 모두 귀하고 다듬은 돌로 지었으니 크기대로 톱으로 켠 것이라 그 초석에서 처마까지와 외면에서 큰 뜰에 이르기까지 다 그러하니
All these structures, from the outside to the great courtyard and from foundation to eaves, were made of blocks of high-grade stone cut to size and trimmed with a saw on their inner and outer faces.
왕상7:10 그 초석은 귀하고 큰 돌 곧 십 규빗 되는 돌과 여덟 규빗 되는 돌이라
The foundations were laid with large stones of good quality, some measuring ten cubits and some eight.
왕상7:11 그 위에는 크기대로 다듬은 귀한 돌도 있고 백향목도 있으며
Above were high-grade stones, cut to size, and cedar beams.
왕상7:12 또 큰 뜰 주위에는 다듬은 돌 세 켜와 백향목 두꺼운 판자 한 켜를 놓았으니 마치 여호와의 성전 안뜰과 주랑에 놓은 것 같더라
The great courtyard was surrounded by a wall of three courses of dressed stone and one course of trimmed cedar beams, as was the inner courtyard of the temple of the LORD with its portico.
왕상7:13 솔로몬 왕이 사람을 보내어 히람을 두로에서 데려오니
King Solomon sent to Tyre and brought Huram,
왕상7:14 그는 납달리 지파 과부의 아들이요 그의 아버지는 두로 사람이니 놋쇠 대장장이라 이 히람은 모든 놋 일에 지혜와 총명과 재능을 구비한 자이더니 솔로론 왕에게 와서 그 모든 공사를 하니라
whose mother was a widow from the tribe of Naphtali and whose father was a man of Tyre and a craftsman in bronze. Huram was highly skilled and experienced in all kinds of bronze work. He came to King Solomon and did all the work assigned to him.
왕상7:15 그가 놋기둥 둘을 만들었으니 그 높이는 각각 십팔 규빗이라 각각 십이 규빗 되는 줄을 두를 만하며
He cast two bronze pillars, each eighteen cubits high and twelve cubits around, by line.
왕상7:16 또 놋을 녹여 부어서 기둥 머리를 만들어 기둥 꼭대기에 두었으니 한쪽 머리의 높이도 다섯 규빗이요 다른쪽 머리의 높이도 다섯 규빗이며
He also made two capitals of cast bronze to set on the tops of the pillars; each capital was five cubits high.
왕상7:17 기둥 꼭대기에 있는 머리을 위하여 바둑판 모양으로 얽은 그물과 사슬 모양으로 땋은 것을 만들었으니 이 머리에 일곱이요 저 머리에 일곱이라
A network of interwoven chains festooned the capitals on top of the pillars, seven for each capital.
왕상7:18 기둥을 이렇게 만들었고 또 두 줄 석류를 한 그물 위에 둘러 만들어서 기둥 꼭대기에 있는 머리에 두르게 하였고 다른 기둥 머리에도 그렇게 하였으며
He made pomegranates in two rows encircling each network to decorate the capitals on top of the pillars. He did the same for each capital.
왕상7:19 주랑 기둥 꼭대기에 있는 머리의 네 규빗은 백합화 모양으로 만들었으며
The capitals on top of the pillars in the portico were in the shape of lilies, four cubits high.
왕상7:20 이 두 기둥 머리에 있는 그물 곁 곧 그 머리의 공 같이 둥근 곳으로 돌아가며 각기 석류 이백 개가 줄을 지었더라
On the capitals of both pillars, above the bowl-shaped part next to the network, were the two hundred pomegranates in rows all around.
왕상7:21 이 두 기둥을 성전의 주랑 앞에 세우되 오른쪽 기둥을 세우고 그 이름을 야긴이라 하고 왼쪽의 기둥을 세우고 그 이름을 보아스라 하였으며
He erected the pillars at the portico of the temple. The pillar to the south he named Jakin and the one to the north Boaz.
왕상7:22 그 두 기둥 꼭대기에는 백합화 형상이 있더라 두 기둥의 공사가 끝나니라
The capitals on top were in the shape of lilies. And so the work on the pillars was completed.
왕상7:23 또 바다를 부어 만들었으니 그 직경이 십 규빗이요 그 모양이 둥글며 그 높이는 다섯 규빗이요 주위는 삼십 규빗 줄을 두를 만하며
He made the Sea of cast metal, circular in shape, measuring ten cubits from rim to rim and five cubits high. It took a line of thirty cubits to measure around it.
왕상7:24 그 가장자리 아래에는 돌아가며 박이 있는데 매 규빗에 열 개씩 있어서 바다 주위에 둘렸으니 그 박은 바다를 부어 만들 때에 두 줄로 부어 만들었으며
Below the rim, gourds encircled it--ten to a cubit. The gourds were cast in two rows in one piece with the Sea.
왕상7:25 그 바다를 소 열두 마리가 받쳤으니 셋은 북쪽을 향하였고 셋은 서쪽을 향하였고 셋은 남쪽을 향하였고 셋은 동쪽을 향하였으며 바다를 그 위에 놓았고 소의 뒤는 다 안으로 두었으며
The Sea stood on twelve bulls, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south and three facing east. The Sea rested on top of them, and their hindquarters were toward the center.
왕상7:26 바다의 두께는 한 손 너비만 하고 그것의 가는 백합화의 양식으로 잔 가와 같이 만들었으니 그 바다에는 이천 밧을 담겠더라
It was a handbreadth in thickness, and its rim was like the rim of a cup, like a lily blossom. It held two thousand baths.
왕상7:27 또 놋으로 받침 수레 열을 만들었으니 매 받침 수레의 길이가 네 규빗이요 너비가 네 규빗이요 높이가 세 규빗이라
He also made ten movable stands of bronze; each was four cubits long, four wide and three high.
왕상7:28 그 받침 수레의 구조는 이러하니 사면 옆 가장자리 가운데에는 판이 있고
This is how the stands were made: They had side panels attached to uprights.
왕상7:29 가장자리 가운데 판에는 사자와 소와 그룹들이 있고 또 가장자리 위에는 놓는 자리가 있고 사자와 소 아래에는 화환 모양이 있으며
On the panels between the uprights were lions, bulls and cherubim--and on the uprights as well. Above and below the lions and bulls were wreaths of hammered work.
왕상7:30 그 받침 수레에 각각 네 놋바퀴와 놋축이 있고 받침 수레 네 발밑에는 어깨 같은 것이 있으며 그 어깨 같은 것은 물두멍 아래쪽에 부어 만들었고 화환은 각각 그 옆에 있으며
Each stand had four bronze wheels with bronze axles, and each had a basin resting on four supports, cast with wreaths on each side.
왕상7:31 그 받침 수레 위로 들이켜 높이가 한 규빗 되게 내민 것이 있고 그 면은 직경 한 규빗 반 되게 반원형으로 우묵하며 그 나머지 면에는 아로새긴 것이 있으며 그 내민 판들은 네모지고 둥글지 아니하며
On the inside of the stand there was an opening that had a circular frame one cubit deep. This opening was round, and with its basework it measured a cubit and a half. Around its opening there was engraving. The panels of the stands were square, not round.
